Chapter One

Chapter One: Parasite

The school bell went off, all of the students ran out of the school house fast, wanting to go home, Eren and his friends walked out of the school, laughing and talking about random shit. 'Thank god school is over!' A very energetic Eren groaned, he was walking back from school with five of his friends and his step sister, all of them were in the same class part from their art classes, he was with Jean and Connie while Mikasa, Armin, Sasha and Marco were with each other in a different art class. 'You said it! I am pretty sure our science teacher is mentally insane.' Jean said, Sasha and Connie giggled. 'You mean Miss Zoe? Yeah, a total psycho.' Connie laughed, Mikasa, Armin and Marco smiled at the other four. "Don't be mean guys, from what I have heard from the seniors she is the nicest science teacher in the school, plus she let's us do experiments basically every lesson.' Marco said, Jean wrapped his one of his arm around Marco and laughed. 'Well, I guess you're right about that freckles.' Jean said, Marco smiled at Jean, who smiled back. 'Hey guys, wanna come over to my house on Saturday?' Sasha asked, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Marco and Connie all agreed, soon they all went back to their separate homes Eren and Mikasa walking into their home.

"Sounds like you two had a good day." Eren's mother Carla says, smiling at her son and adopted daughter who were sitting in front of their TV, Eren's father, Grisha was sitting on a couch behind them. "Part from our insane science teacher exploding a frog and it flying on everyone's faces it was pretty cool, actually the frog exploding was kinda funny." Eren says, laughing a little. "Mom, dad, this weekend can we go over to Sasha's house?" Mikasa asked, her foster father smiled. "Of course, will it just be you two and Sasha?" Grisha asked, Eren shook his head. "Nah, Connie, Armin, Jean and Marco will be there too" Eren says, before the Jaeger family could continue their conversation, the TV show they were watching was interrupted by a news report. 'Breaking News! All citizens are to remain indoors, a parasite has been affected multiple families, people and even some animals. This parasite has caused a zombie liked affect on the living creature! Do not leave your homes on any circumsta-' The news was cut off, rolling blackouts happens through the whole town, Eren and Mikasa sat in horror with their parents for what seemed like minutes, before Mikasa's phone went off, she picks up the phone and answers the call. "M-Mikasa! Are you and the dumb ass alright?" Jean shouts, Mikasa just stared blank at the black screen in front of her. "T-This is really happening… Isn't it?" Mikasa stuttered, Eren snatched the phone from Mikasa and held it up to his own ear. "Hey Horseface!  Where is the others, they all live on your road are they okay?" Eren said quickly. "They are all at their houses but Marco's house is right next to mine so after I get him I will get potato girl and Connie, what about Mikasa and Arm-” The phone cut out. “Shit!” Eren yells, he drops Mikasa's phone and looks at his parents. They were standing at the window with Mikasa. “Guys… What are you looking at…” Eren asked, he walked up to them and looked out the window. “HOLY SHIT! GARRY GET IT OFF ME!” A young woman screamed, a zombie like creature opened its jaw, placing it around the screaming woman's skull, after a few seconds, biting down, ripping apart her skull and brain, a man stood there watching. “C-Clare?” He stuttered, just then a different zombie jumped onto his back, ripping out a huge chunk of it. Eren and his family watched as the two strangers were murdered in cold blood. “What do we do no-” There was a loud crashing sound from behind the Jaeger family.

The groans of the undead grow louder and louder as a good seven of them trample inside from the backyard. “Fuck! Carla grab a knife and help me, Eren, take Mikasa to Armin's house… NOW!” Grisha shouts. “NO! I can help you fight!” Eren shouts, both his parents turn around, glaring at their son. “EREN JUST LISTEN TO YOUR FUCKING FATHER!” Carla shouts, the zombies walk into the lounge, the closest one just a few feet away from Carla. Before Eren could protest anymore Mikasa grabs Eren's wrist, running out of the house with him. "MIKASA WHAT ARE YOU DO-" Eren starts off. "I'm keeping us alive, we have to get Armin then meet up with the others." Mikasa says, sounding unusually calm for a situation like this, Eren took in some deep breathes and sighed. "Fine. Armin's grandfather has a shotgun, we can use that." Eren said, him and Mikasa running to Armin's house. They stopped dead in their tracks once they saw a horrifying sight. Armin was shaking and crying on his porch, pointing his grandfathers shotgun, right at his undead skull.
