While Masao and Ryanair was walking to Rina Zero they pass The broken Maiden. Masao then suddenly stop and saw Familia weapon sticking out the ground.
Masao: hold on!
Ryanair: hm?
Masao then run towards Familia weapon and pull it out from the ground.
" I don't know why I took the weapon but something in my mind told me to not let go"
Masao: hey does Rina have any weapon stores?
Ryanair: I really don't remember much about Rina Zero since I rarely go there.
Masao: well I guess we can give it a shot when we enter the place.
Ryanair: alrighty then let go.
After a few minutes of traveling both Masao and Ryanair came to a stop because of a forest they have to pass in order to enter Rina Zero.
Masao: hey where are we anyways?
Ryanair: well Rina Zero is west of here. However the only place where blocking us from there is the mana forest.
" We went into the mana forest. My mind told me to stay on guard. For some reason I couldn't know why but everything felt too familiar. Like I been here before."
Midway through the forest Ryanair then stop and looked at Masao.
Ryanair: tell me something.
Masao: ?
Ryanair: even if you do everything correct, even if your plan work. How do you plan right after that.
Masao: what do you mean?
Ryanair: I mean this. If you do this you know the empire will know you and hunt you down like a dog. So even after you do this.
Ryanair then gave a intensive glare to Masao.
Ryanair: are you even sure you can live like that every single day.
Masao: yes.
Ryanair then let out a burst of energy from within his lungs.
Ryanair: are you sure, you know you can't go back to your hometown like everything will be perfectly normal.
Masao: don't you think I'm perfectly aware of that.
Ryanair: wha?
Masao: the empire took my home, my life, this war, almost everything doesn't make sense. But what i do know is that while time go by more people are dying and more homes are being destroy. So i can't just stand here and let that happen.
Ryanair: and what the other reason than to save people and getting revenge.
Masao: my job and role as the guardian of mana. Which now I'll understand now. Not fully but sure enough that i understand what going on.
Ryanair: i see...
Ryanair then prepare himself in a defensive position.
Masao: huh?!
Without no hesitation Ryanair with godly speed rush at Masao. Masao quickly pull out his blade and deflected the first strike however was quickly followed by a barrage of attacks.
Ryanair: come on is that the best you can muster!
Masao: dammit.
Ryanair: is this what you gonna face the empire with.
Masao: dammit why won't you-
Ryanair immediately struck the spear into the ground and swung his own body along with the gravity and used the spear as a pole and perform a powerful roundhouse kick to Masao face.
The kick knock Masao into the tree making him fail over after the impact.
Ryanair: tell me this. Is you gonna used that power to save Familia.
Masao: huh?
"At first i didn't understand what he meant by that. But now i know what those very words mean."
Ryanair: get up
Masao: hm?
