Screams. Pure shrieks and yelling. A blaze engulfing them all. The blend of red and orange spreading to everything; papers, books, structures of the building. It all crumbled down. The heat was unbearable, burning anything that dared cross its path.

"Alex", a familiar voice called out, "I'm back". Alexandra Norame opened her eyes, the previous image now replaced with the arctic white ceiling of the room. The sound of the door closing followed after and then, footsteps got closer to her. The crumpling sounds of plastic bags could be heard as they were set on the bedside table. The bed creaked as a second weight was added to one of its sides.

"The teacher's been complaining about your absence again", Caden Robinson told her softly. She looked over to her roommate, a tall man with a well-built body, smooth light brown hair and bright blue eyes. He would have been anyone's dream man if not for the large trailing scar that marked his right cheek and downwards. He refused to tell anyone about its origins even if they begged so Alex had stopped asking 2 years ago.

"Alex, how long do you plan to skip classes? I can only teach you whatever I understand so you really should just attend classes instead", his voice held desperation in it. Alex simply averted her gaze from him.

"Alex? Is everything okay?"

"I saw it again...". Caden's eyes widened at her news.

"The same red and all?", she nodded. Caden bit his bottom lip as he pondered of what to do.

"I'll tell the teacher that you're unwell. I hope no one starts spreading rumors about you", he said anxiously.

"Let them", Alex already felt dead inside from her amnesia. How did she forget? Why can't she remember what happened before 2 years ago? She wanted to know what was in her past so badly; her parents, her childhood, and maybe a hint to where they were and why they left her at this university. She had no home so she was assigned a room and her roommate happened to be this male.

"Now, don't say that", Caden held her hand in his rather large ones, warm and sweaty from whatever it was he did earlier. She quickly pulled it out of his grasps and rested that hand on the opposite side of the bed. Caden was surprised by her reaction, shoulders drooping as he let out a heavy sigh.

"I'll start preparing dinner. You should get some sleep", he encouraged and lifted himself up from the bed, grabbed the annoying crunching plastic bag and brought it to the kitchen just a room away where he started working his magic.
