Nim rang last night. Apparently Liam, the boy she likes, complimented her gymnastics and asks her if she'd like to meet him in the park. Sure exciting for her, but... What about me and Amara?
Not in a selfish way. Like we are main outfit and speech support team for Nim, same as her and Mara are for me.

We're sat in Mara's room now, picking out an outfit for her. We have two outfits complete so far - each of us compose some clothes for Nim tomorrow and Amara's still picking hers. I picked out light blue high waisted denim jeans, a great sparkley sparkly crop top, a bomber jacket and some charcoal ankle boots. So far I'm winning against Nims oversized 'UGG' jumper and girlfriend jeans.
Nims sat at Amara's dresser, applying makeup by the boat load and experimenting with different smokey eye looks.

Nim's okay at ordinary foundation, mascara, powder, but once she's under pressure to look tremendously plastered with a whole new face she panics and then the horror of fallout and feathery lip stick happens and it all looks wrong.
Like I say, Amara's great at makeup and nails and that but she's too busy to do it tomorrow - having to work at her dad's shop on Saturdays from 10-12.
I'm okay. Its not like I don't have good taste in clothes and not like I can't do makeup - I just don't suit anything.
'Arghh! Why can't I be a proper girl?' Nim grunts
*tut* 'Come here, Nim.' I say, dragging a wet wipe over her cakey face. 'You don't need much to make you look even better then you already do.
Now stop frowning - you're messing it up.'

'I want to go for a more rock-chick style for you Nim. Black and pinks - It will suit your hair so well, Nim!' Amara declares. 'I just can't decide between the leather skirt or the dress.'
'What, the skirt with the slit up the back?' I ask.
'Jeez, I forgot about that... Maybe not. Dress it is!'
'Let me see what I might be wearing then.'
'No. Not yet. Let me put it all on a hanger first.
Nim rolls her eyes and I tell her to sit still.
'When can I look?' Nim whines, impatiently.
'Not yet!' Me and Mara say in unison.
Nim just groans.
