Battles today were rough. I felt bad fighting against Junkrat like I did, but we both know it's not our fault. The Players are the reason we fight. And it's not like we fight all the time, we only fight when we have to. Only when The Player beckons do we ever do battle. And in the case of a battle, among us fighters we have decided to never hold a grudge against another fighter after a battle. The only one that ever has trouble following that pact is Reaper, and well. It's not really his fault, seeing as he's the odd one out and no one really gets along with him. I try to be nice to him though, Tracer and I talk to him a lot to try and cheer him up. The one I talk to the most is Junkrat. He's such a little cutie! He says he's batshit crazy and is lonely because of it, but I know that deep down he knows we're all here for him and that we'd do anything for the guy. He also claims to really like Widowmaker but we all know that's not gonna happen anyways.
It was late back at HQ, and everyone was sleeping. I awoke to the sound of someone walking loudly through the kitchen. You'd assume Genji or Hanzo would've heard it but they were both soundly asleep. Genji all dressed down in just his training shorts per the usual, Hanzo laying in the bunk below him wearing a blue jean jacket and a pair of shorts. I walked off slowly to the kitchen, as I walked closer I could hear the person still walking in the kitchen. I pulled down on the front of my shirt, it was kinda cold in HQ and I only had my shirt and my really short shorts on. God I was an idiot. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. As I turned around the corner, Junkrat was there in his usual pajamas, a pair of baggy Cargo pants. I looked at him and slowly walked over, trying not to startle him. "J-Jami?" I murmured, trying not to wake the others. He probably jumped to the roof, he launched himself into the air and let out a wailing scream as I forced myself to run over to cover his mouth. "Jami! It's just me Mei!" I tried my best to calm him down with a soothing smile. He slowly stood up from his spot on the ground with confusion written all over his face. "Bloody Hell! Why'd ya have ta scare me like that Mei!?" He asked with the most dumbfounded look, as if he was trying to figure out why I was awake. Frankly, I didn't know either. I replied with a smile as I helped him up "I just came to check on what was going on, I woke up and heard you in here and was wondering what was going on." He glared at me with an oddly annoyed look on his face as if I disturbed him somehow. I could tell it was just cover for how embarrassed he felt for being caught eating in the middle of the night but he'd never admit it since we all know how he feels about others seeing him eat. "Well good on ya for finding out my secret, now rack off so I can eat please?" He quickly replied, throwing out another quick comment to cover up for how startled he was with a slight twang of sarcasm at the end. I nodded with a smile and ignored the comment, grabbing the bottom of my shirt as I turned off to head back to bed. As I walked back the clock caught my eye and it turned out it was already 4:35 AM. I looked around as I could see Dad getting up and out of bed. Typical of him to get up this early, military must've left a mark on his sleep schedule he'll never forget. I smiled as I passed him on my way back. "Hey dad, good morning!" I called over to him as he replied quickly and firmly, "After my coffee it will be." I chuckled lightly to myself as I went back to bed, finding Reindhart sprawled out on the bunk below me. It took me by surprise at fist but I ignored that as well as I jumped up into bed, falling asleep quickly.
