One early morning Jude woke up to find that her entire room was a tip. The clothes that were once neatly folded in her wardrobe had been scattered all over the wooden floor. Mud covered the once white wall as if someone had trod all over it. Her bookshelf had been pushed over ripping dozens of books. What really made smoke come out of her ears was that the intruder had destroyed the only piece of evidence Jude had of her parents' existence. That did it! She stormed out of her house, which was literally upside down, and marched down the streets of New York City. That was when she realised something strange. Something stranger than English accents. Something stranger than tea. The whole of New York was in silence.
Complete silence. At that moment Jude understood that it wasn't just her house that was in shambles, the whole world was in shambles. In the streets, which usually had an overwhelming noise, not one human being could be seen. Not even pigeons that peck at leftover food could not be seen for miles. New York had a record for being the busiest city in America but not even a minute mouse could be seen. Even though no one was there everything had been left just how it would be every morning. Every shop was open yet empty and markets had fresh fruits and vegetables as if they had just been brought from the local farm. When Jude strolled into her office even the computers were turned on. Jude's mind ached with confusion. A thought kept going round and round in her head. Was she the last person on Earth?
Suddenly a noise caught Jude's attention. It was a low whirring sound that reminded her of her Grampa Joe's snoring. She crept towards the noise cautiously. The noise had come from a NASA building. As soon as Jude entered the building which was wrecked she saw the green circular spaceship 5 metres away from her. It looked more like a massive boomerang than a UFO. Out of nowhere a green alien appeared. It had a sharp nose that was surrounded by warts that could pop any second. This alien was unlike anything Jude had ever seen; it was bald but had a brain the size of a basketball. It wore a black suit that stuck to its skin. Luckily the hideous creature stood near the spaceship with it's back facing Jude giving her a chance to hide behind a stack of canned food supplies. Pulling a walkie-talkie out the disgusting monster said, "everyone had gone for good." Instantly Jude's breathing stopped for a second. There was really no one else left on Earth...
