No Where Is Safe [C.G]

Chapter 1: Hi I'm Carl.

Charlies P.O.V

"Hi, I'm Carl" I stared at the boy that was infront of me for a while until he said "who are you?" I blink a couple of times and blush a bit, knowing that I just stared at him and I say "Charlie" "I'm Charlie, and this is Alice" another guy walks in wearing a sheriff's outfit "Carl what are you doing, why aren't you looking for sup- who's this?" the sheriff asks "I'm Charlie, this is Alice and your in my house right now!" I tell him "so all these supplies are yours" I nod "well I did find them so yeah there mine" I answered, the sheriff thinks for a moment and then he says "How about we make a deal, we take the supplies back to our prison and you guys come with us" I look at him for a short time then turn my head to Alice, she is nodding at me to say okay. I guess we can leave.. 'umm sure, but we don't know who you are!" I say, "I'm Rick and this is my son Carl" he replies "we should go now, before it gets dark out" Carl adds. Me and Alice go upstairs to get our stuff.

"so you guys are staying at a prison?" Carl nods and says "we have alot of people there to, so it is safe" I turn to him "no where is safe, trust me" he stares at me and I continue packing.

*At The Prison*

Still Charlies P.O.V

This place is big, it has walls. But how long will these walls stay up? "at the first sign of trouble me and Alice will leave with our stuff" I say, "okay, but you are safe here" Rick says and turn to face him "like I said to Carl, No Where Is Safe!" I then walk into the prison cell block and go to me and Alice's room. "Look Charlie our own bed" Alice sings and lays down on the top bunk "you know it's not that bad, you have to trust them. Kay" Alice giggles out, I smile and say "okay, I will".

I drop my stuff on the floor and open the metal draws and I start to unpack my clothing. When I'm done I relax on the bed that is now mine, I turn my head to hear someone yell out its dinner time. As soon as that's said Alice jumps up and gets down and says lets go, I follow her to where the food is. Which smells like baked beans and tomato soup, I look down to Alice to see a big smile on her face and I smile because it's contagious (a/n: SMILE GOD DAMMIT 😃 ahaha lol) we go to the food and I get tomato soup and Alice gets bake beans I shudder because I absolutely hate bake beans. We take two empty seats and we sit down and start eating, Alice finishes in a matter of minutes while I still have half the amount I had when I got the bowl. I turn my head to Alice "want the rest" I ask she replies with "okay" I add in "I'm going back to the cell" she just nods as she drinks the soup.

I lay in the bed thinking about what Alice had said earlier, should I trust them? Just to be sure I'll act like I do, yes! A let out a short sigh and roll on my side and feel my eyes get heavier and I am suddenly seeing all black.....

Carls P.O.V

The girl we found while we were looking for supplies is stunning and amazing hopefully she likes me... Probably not. I turn of my lamp and get some sleep.

In the morning

Charlie's P.O.V

I woke up to people walking down the hallways, I pull my arm up to my face to look at my watch which says it's 6am. Why so early, I normally get up early but it seems like they have been up from 3am wow. I climb up to the top bunk and shake Alice "Alice wake up" I say loudly in her ear and she gets up after that, "morning, time to get up" she looks at me with puppy eyes "please can I sleep in" I shake my head in response "sorry, no can do princess" I say.

I pull the curtain over the bars and get out my outfit for the day, one I found in this bedroom in some one else's house which is a iron maiden t-shirt that I slip on and cargo pants and I pull on some socks and black doc martins. I then brush my hair out and pull it up into a messy ponytail, I turn around to see Alice struggling to put her shoes on and tie them up so I walk over there and help her out a bit. We walk out of the cell and I see Rick out the window and I head straight to him and ask "what can we do?" He turns to me and thinks a moment and says "you can help in story time" I glare at him "a actually job, not reading to kids" I reply "sorry, that's all we have right now" I sigh and say "fine, where is it?" Rick says "next to the kitchen" I nod and walk of with Alice on my tracks.

(A/N: I don't think the library is there ahaha)

We arrive outside the library and Alice skips in, I walk in to see a lady with short hair reading to kids "umm hi, Rick sent me here to help with this" she smiles and says "you must Charlie come sit" she pats to a chair next to her and continues "so kids today we will be learning about how to use knifes". I silently gasp I then here a guy coughing and he looks around 15-16 "Patrick, what's wrong" he gags and says "I need to puke" then he runs off.We continue with the lesson and we we're interrupted by a loud gasp I turn to see Carl run off and then Carol runs after him.

After that I go and lay down in my cell, and ignore the dinner call an I here my stomach grumble. I get up and get some water that I drink fast, my stomach feels weird after not eating then drinking with a empty stomach. I here some one opening the cell door hoping for it to be Alice so I don't feel lonely, but it isn't. Carl walks in the cell, I stay laying on the bed and turn my head to see Carl glaring at me. "Staring is rude, didn't your dad ever tell you" I laugh "why?" Is all he says "what do you mean by 'why'?" I tilt my head in confusion. "why did you help Carol?" I roll my eyes and say "cause kids like that need knowledge or there gonna die" "hate me all you want I don't care what you think, I'm not here to make friends I'm here to survive" I add in. I turn to look at him and he looks.... Sad? He then runs 'that was weird' Alice then walks in "where we're you?" She asks, "I wasn't hungry" I reply "oh okay" said Alice. She then climbs up and goes to bed, I then close my eyes and fall asleep.
