Brody's PoV
She's beautiful. That's what comes to mind when ever you see Wren. She's my sunshine. From the very first moment I saw her she was. But she would never be mine.
Today was the day she was getting married. To Asher. And she has invited me to the ceremony.
It has been 10 years since I fell for her and I thought that by distancing myself from her, I might move on. But no. Of course I would have the worst luck ever and not be able to move on.
She had come over to my place and as soon as I saw her all my old wounds were ripped open. She looked as beautiful as always, her brown hair framing her features making her look surreal.
I was stunned when I saw her, not really expecting her to be here. I was happy to see her but as soon as she showed me the invitation I was torn apart.
Now here I am sitting at my bar and drinking my ass off, reminiscing about what could have been, how it would feel to hold her in my arms and all of this while staring at the wedding card.
I am struggling with myself. I could be selfish and not go, not see her happy in the arms of another man. But another part of me wants me to go for I know she will be happy to see me there, one of her friends on her most special day.
Finally I decided to attend the wedding and letting go of Wren. Because birds do not like to be restrained.
