chapter 8

THE YULE BALL

Myra and Zoya were setting ready in their respective common rooms.
"Who are you going with??" Myra asked Kiara. Kiara blushed furiously. "Oh come on!!"
"Davis..." Myra squealed. "Mia!! Shh.." Myra nodded.
Here Myra was getting ready for their ball, Zoya was sick of other people.
"Will you just get ready??" Rose, zoya's roomate said. "We have 2 hours!!!" Zoya protested. She got up and left the common room. Zoya had become very close with Cedric. She knew he was going to die and so she decided to enjoy as much as possible with him. She walked down the staircase only to see him there, sitting on the couch in front of the fire. He wasn't ready either. "What are you thinking about??"
Zoya asked. A startled Cedric said, "nothing..just the task"
"Enjoy yourself today!! You aren't even dressed yet!!"
"Look who's talking..."
Zoya rolled her eyes and shoved Cedric towards the staircase.

The girls got ready really quickly. Zoya was wearing a greenish blue gown flowing till her ankles. Her hair was left open and she wore matching heels.
Myra was wearing a red gown, again, flowing till her ankles. Her brown hair was flowing behind her shoulders and was wearing red flats to go with it.

Zoya walked down the Hufflepuff stairs, she saw Cedric in the common room all dressed. "Wow!! You look...." He had no words. She smiled. "Look at yourself first!!! YOU look amazing" he smiled at her. "I'm headed to the ravenclaw common room...want to come??" He asked. "Let's go...." They linked arms and walked to the Ravenclaw common room.

Myra walked outside the common room to see Cedric,Zoya and Cho standing there, talking. "Oh my god!! You look amazing!" The girls said to each other in unison. "Cho and Cedric...now could you look better?" Myra said. "Come on let's go Mia! Bye Cedric,Cho!!" Zoya said.
"Excited?" Zoya asked mia who nodded a bit. "I understand that you.."
"Let's not talk about it right now..please?"
"Okay."

The girls had reached the great hall with their dates. George was with Zoya. Fred was with Angelina, approaching George and Zoya. Myra was going to another place with oliver to avoid Fred.

Soon everyone started dancing. "May I??" Wood asked. "Why not?" Myra asked and reached his hand. They both swayed swiftly to music. Everyone was dancing.
Soon the weird sisters started to play and the music changed. Myra was enjoying herself when she saw that Fred was sitting at a table all by himself. She excused herself and went over to him. "Hey.."
"Hey." Fred answered. "All alone??"
"Kind of, Angelina is off to the bathroom"
"Oh..Look, I am sorry that I said no..I had my reasons.."
"What reasons Mia??" He asked calmly. "I...I....I...I can't tell you..."
"Why not?"
"Because-"
"You just don't have a reason..."
"Because I am leaving okay?? I didn't want to say good bye...I didn't want to make it hard for you or me!!" Myra lied. She didn't know what she would do the next day but went with the flow. "Then leave!!" Fred said heatedly.

The whole night went amazing for everyone. The whole conversation between Fred and Myra was omitted even though they didn't talk to each other. Zoya had her First kiss with George. The best one.
But something inside Myra was guilty. She lied to Fred. Her guilt was growing per minute.
After the yule ball, Zoya and Myra went to the Hufflepuff common room where they sat and talked. Myra explained everything to her. She couldn't control her sobbing. For a 16 year old girl, she was very sensitive. "Its okay Mia, he'll understand..." Zoya said. "But..."
"Don't worry.
And with this, they both fell asleep.

THE NEXT DAY.

Myra woke up, a blanket covering her face. She moved it away from her face only to see a blue ceiling. She blinked a few times wondering if the ravenclaw dorm ceiling was always blue until," we're home...." She muttered. She was sleeping on HER bed in HER room like all of it was a dream. Zoya suddenly up,"we're home!!" She said in utter Shock. "Zo!! It was all a dream..was it??" She asked. "I don't know Mia..."
"But.." Myra said looking for words. "Was it all a dream??" Zoya asked. "But how could we have the same dream??" Myra asked. Her gaze went to her table where they had kept the wishing star. She got up and picked it up. "It says 'complete'"
