It was precisely 8am, and in the library Harold was putting his laptop in a black briefcase. He held it loosely in his hand and started walking towards the library's exit. John turned the corner into the library carrying a box of donuts and a cup of tea for Harold.

When John turned the corner, he smacked right into Harold, resulting in Harold's briefcase flying out of his hand and Harolds suit now soaked in green tea. "Harold, I-" John muttered before being cut off by Harold, "Do be careful, Mr. Reese." John bent down and grabbed Harolds briefcase and handed it to him, embarrassingly saying "Here."
John set the box of donuts down on the table while Harold was dabbing the soaked spots on his suit with a handkerchief. John grabbed a few napkins and walked towards Harold, "Let me help with that." Followed by Harold saying under his breath, "I'm highly capable of cleaning myself up, Mr. Reese."
John sighed and helped anyways. A few moments later John looked down at Harold and said, "Where were you going anyways?" John already knew what Finch would say, but he wanted to break the awkward silence, "I'm a very private person. You of all people should know that."

Harold said "That'll do," in a low, calm voice while turning around and walking back to his desk.
John still felt bad. He took a step and grabbed Harold's arm, turning him back around to face him but also pulling him off balance because of his injury. Harold stuttered a bit forward and John put his hands on Harolds shoulders to help him keep his balance again.
John stared down at Harold, Harolds light blue eyes looking back at him. John still had his hands on Harolds shoulders. He took one off and placed it on Harolds back, moving them closer together. John felt butterflies in his stomach, he has only felt once before, with Jessica. John was looking at Harolds lips now, Harold still had his eyes fixed on Johns. Looking into Johns eyes sent a slight shiver down Harolds body. John started to lean in, slowly.

Before their lips touched, Harold saw a glimpse of Shaw walking into the library. Harold pulled away quickly from Johns grasp. John stared down at the floor, looking disappointed. "Good morning Ms. Shaw," Harold said with a trembling voice. He was almost positive that Sameen had seen what happened, what almost happened.

"We have a new number. You and John will be working together on this one. Our victim--" "or perpetrator" Sameen cut in.
"I suppose." Harold said under his breath.
"You two better get going then, you have a long day ahead of you."
