"How's it looking over there Ben?" yelled Thomas
"Not good" replied Ben with a look of despair, as he ferociously worked on the machine in the dank basement of the school with his wife Cynthia.
"If we don't do something soon, the Krank will have this town in ruins" Cynthia whispered to Ben, barely audible over the beating of the heavy rain in the night.
The Krank was a massive machine created by both Ben and Cynthia, but now it was going completely haywire with neither of them knowing how to fix it. This machine had the power to change the world, but currently, it seemed that it was more likely to destroy it.
While the Kartoffel's were hard at work on the Krank, Thomas stood across the room, only partially watching the two geniuses discuss things he didn't understand. All he wanted was to get the power back on, he didn't care how the two of them did it.
"I think the only thing we can do at this point, is lessen the blast," Ben said, looking exhausted. He knew that this wasn't what either of them wanted to hear, but it was the truth, and they needed to do what they could before time ran out.
At the mention of a blast, Ben had Thomas' s full attention, but before he got the opportunity to ask what Ben meant, his vision was flooded with brilliant light.
