In this story all main characters survived (excluding Josh) and the following specific events happened. Matt attempted to save emily and shot the wendigo with a flare gun. Mike amputated his fingers and managed to keep Wolfie alive. Ashley stabbed josh with the scissors. The group found out the truth about Hannah and Josh became a wendigo.

Sam pov:

It was cold; even as the flames of the lodge blow in my direction, I still feel cold. Was this really the end? Did I really make it out of there alive? I turn and look around, the others scattered around me, Chris helping Ashley to her feet, emily refusing to take mikes hand and getting up on her own. I wonder how she must have felt, seeing someone so close to her pointing a gun at her head? I don't blame mike though, he was only looking out for everyone else, but that doesn't make it any less haunting.

I never would have thought Mike would have it in him, he has always seemed like a bit of a jerk to me. The way he so easily dumped his longtime girlfriend and moved on in the space of a week. I guess underneath that charming smile and designer jacket, lies a heart after all. I can't imagine how he must have felt seeing Jessica die like that, but in a way i sort of can. Josh...why...?

Chris pov:

I help Ashley to her feet and pull her close, but she isn't looking at me, she's just staring into the flames. 'Ash...' I say, gently stroking the back of her hair. She turns to face me, for a brief moment we stare into each other's eyes. I had saved her tonight, despite it just being a prank, and in return she saved me, without her the wendigo would have torn me to pieces. I notice tears begin to form in the corners of her eyes and she hugs me tight, so I wrap my arms around her. I'm not going to let anything happen to her ever again, she's too important to me now.

I suddenly feel the hair on the back of my head blow forwards and I look up to see a helicopter flying over head. Finally we are going to get off this mountain, but part of me knows it won't be quite that easy to forget this place. Too much has happened, too many scars have been made. I look over to Sam, she doesn't seem to take notice of the helicopter. I make to shout out to her, but instead I leave her be. Josh was my best friend, but him and Sam really had a connection. I often liked to tease Josh about that whenever he would do the same with Ash, but now there's nothing funny about it.

Mike pov:

The helicopters light beam leaves me momentarily blinded. This was it, I'm finally going to get off this mountain, but part of me wants to stay. Jess could still be out there, she was still breathing when I last saw her. No... I saw her wounds, there's no way she made it. I wasn't fast enough. All my life I've acted all big and tough, but when it really mattered, I just wasn't fast enough. I should have treated her better. It wasn't going to be anytime soon but, I know it was just a matter of time before I would have dumped her and found someone else. But now, I would give anything for one more minute with her, to hold her, to tell her one last time that I love her.

I look up at emily, but the second she catches my gaze she turns her back to me. I know she'll never forgive me for what I did to her. For a moment back there, despite all we had been through together, I nearly shot her. I just wish she could understand why I did what I did, but I of all people know how stubborn she can be at times, especially when she's mad. Right now, she just needs someone she can trust...Matt. She never said what happened to him back at the radio tower. We haven't really seen eye to eye since him and emily got together, but I still hope he's alright... For em's sake.

Matt Pov

'Do you hear that?' I ask, as I help Jess up the mountain path from the mines. She doesn't answer, but I see a faint smile on her face. She hasn't smiled since I found her down in those mines, but somehow, despite everything thats happened, she hasn't lost hope. We draw nearer to the sound of what I hope is a helicopter. The others must have made it out, or at least some of them... I can her hear screams. Why wasn't I strong enough? Why couldn't I save her? Emily is dead and it's all my fault. Even though she wasn't exactly the perfect girlfriend back on that tower, I still miss her.

We heave on up the path. The helicopter comes into view. It looks as if its preparing to land

'We made it Jess' I exclaim and this time she manages a quite 'yeah...'. Suddenly a figure comes into view. I recognise who it is immediately.

'Mike!' I call out, and he turns to face in our direction. Before I can say anything more, he runs towards us and takes Jess into his arms.

'How did you make it out of there' he asks, stroking her now messy hair. She turns to face in my direction and smiles. Mike looks up at me.

'Thank you' he says, before turning his attention back to Jess. I couldn't leave Jess down there alone. I could have just ran and left her, but I didn't, and now she's alive because of me. I look around at the others. Chris and Ash, sat together on a nearby bench. Sam, sat on the ground with her knees up against her chest. Then I notice someone stood near the path leading back down the mountain. She made it... I can't believe she made it.

Emily pov

'Emily!' I hear from behind me, in a familiar voice. I turn around and see him stood over at the other side. He made it. I thought he was dead, because of me. But he made it.

'Matt!' I shout back, but before I can run to him a group of police officers rush up from where the helicopter had landed a few minutes ago. One of them rushes over to me.

'Miss are you alright?' he asks. I notice in the back ground as two police officers escort, Matt, Mike and Jess down the path. Matt turns to look at me, but one of the officers prevents him from running back.

'Miss, is everything alright?'

'Yeah... Look can I just-' but he cuts me off

'I'm officer Dale, now we're going to have to wait for a second chopper to pick up the rest of you, can you tell me what happened here?'

I ignore the officer and watch as Matt's helicopter begins to take off. I can see his head through the window, still looking back at me. I hope the other helicopter comes soon, it's freezing up here.

Hey thanks for reading, sorry if some of the writing is a bit off for some of the characters. I find it quite difficult to write Emily in particular. This is my first Wattpad story and I hope you enjoyed. I will try to upload more chapters whenever I can.
