***Author's Note: Hi, people who are reading my book! Firstly, thank you so much (!), secondly, I would appreciate it if you had any feedback. I have no idea how good or bad my writing is, so it would help me out a lot to have your opinion. Oh, and I finally have a picture of a cat that could work as the cover, but it won't load for some reason! Anywho, happy reading everybuddy  ^_^

Soon enough, days like this become the norm. Maya and I talk throughout school, Stefan and I joke around during lunch, we all train, and go home. Days turn into weeks, and next thing I know, nearly a month and a half have passed by. Spring has started in earnest, and pretty soon the seniors are going to graduate since it's almost the middle of May. I'm surprised to find myself becoming more and more at ease with my classmates, well, except Claire and Sophie. I feel like I fit in, like I'm not the outsider that I usually am when it comes to other people. I've stopped by the k-8 building a few times because it turns out that Maya has a little sister in third grade. The littlies are so cute! I don't know many of the seniors or juiniors at our school, they don't seem to want to associate with us younger kids. Otto and Isabel should be freshman, but since they're the only people who would be freshmen, they just got mixed in with the sophmores. There are only eight Seniors, so they got put with the Juniors for the most part. There are twenty-one highschoolers here, and thirty-one kids who are in the k-8 program. It's strange to go someplace so small, like our whole world in in this fence. It worries me how little access we have with the outside world. The world could end, and we'd have no idea. Well, at least, that's what I thought until the day before Senior's graduation.

"So, Kat, are you coming?" Maya asks while we're watching a film in science.

"Huh? To what?" I answer, confused.

"I can't tell you until I know if you're in or not," she says, trying to be all ominous.

"Well then... I'm in," I say, chuckling.

"Great! I'll pick you up at, about, 1am then. Wear something kind of nice, ok?" she then procedes to turn her back on me to leave me wondering what she's talking about.

"Please, elaborate," I say, a little too loudly in the silence of the movie, poking her in the shoulder.

"Maya, Kat, I am not hearing your voices over the video, am I?" Dr. Anderson calls out.

"No, Dr. Anderson," we say simultaniously.

"At lunch," Maya whispers a little while later.

So, one more class to go until I find out why Maya plans on sneaking out to my house in the middle of the night.

"So are you going to tell me why I'm being deprived of sleep tonight?" I ask as soon as the lunch bell rings.

"Let's wait until everyone's seated, so we can all explain it," Maya says, enjoying my suspense.

"This better be worth my sleep," I tell her.

"Trust me, it is."

The walk to the cafeteria is torture, and every second in line feels like an hour. I do not handle suspense well, and I am dying to find out what everyone was up to. Honestly, I've been feeling bored lately, so this was a very welcome break in the normal- well as normal as it gets here.

"Okay guys, Kat is in," Maya announces at the table when we finally sit down.

"Will someone, anyone, please explain what I'm in?" I ask, exasperatedly.

"Maya, you are too cruel," Stefan says, laughing as he sits down beside me.

"Seriously, somebody needs to fess up. Or I will force it out of you!" I say, holding my plastic knife up menacingly.
