the new guy

hey there. my name is ariana tribana and i am 16 years old. i go to south York high and i'm just starting eleventh grade. i always thought i was outgoing and stylish yet, according to others, i'm just an unwanted human. my best friend alicia is the only one who stands up for me. i never get invited to parties but she always does. she takes me with her but i-i just feel left out. guys always come up to us but really, they are coming to flirt with alicia and not have any interaction with me. anyways, there's an assembly today about bullying. we have these every year but no one ever pays attention or does what they recommend. i on the other hand listen and try to help others but they don't want my help. they think i need help.  once the assembly was over, i headed toward science. i, like always, wasn't looking where i was going and ran into this guy whom i didn't recognize. just my luck, i fell to the ground and dropped ALL my books. papers flew everywhere and people walked past and laughed at me. alicia was sick today so she couldn't defend me. i looked up to see this new guy who looked like he was a goddess. he perfectly chiseled jawline and his ocean blue eyes sparkled.  at least he didn't laugh at me. he actually helped me pick up my stuff. once he stood up, he reached his hand down to help me. hesitantly, i took his hand. "im so sorry?" he said. "ariana and it's nothing. it was my fault anyways" i commented back. "zach. zach jonas" he said. i stared into his ocean blue eyes and didn't even realize the bell rang. he just looked back confused until i got back into reality and said "thank you zach. see you later". and with that i walked to science.
