After History class, Kylie decided she wanted to spend some time with Allison. So, it was the dark-haired teenage girl who had the pleasure of carrying a toddler to Coach's class.

"Let's go. Sit, sit, sit, sit. We have a lot to cover today," Coach said, his voice booming through the room.

Allison walked over to the seat behind Scott, beating Stiles to it. Kylie stuck out her tongue at Stiles, and he did the same in return.

"Hey!" Allison greeted Scott, her voice cheerful.

"Hey!" Scott replied, smiling at her.

"I haven't seen you all day," Allison continued, her eyes meeting his.

"Yeah, I, uh, I've been super busy," Scott lied, a poor attempt that Allison could easily see through.

"When are you getting your phone fixed? I feel like I'm totally disconnected from you," Allison asked, her tone tinged with a hint of concern.

"Uh, soon. Real soon," Scott replied, trying to keep his composure.

"I changed lab partners, by the way," Allison told him casually.

Scott's brow furrowed, confusion evident on his face. "To who?"

"To you, dummy!" Kylie piped up, her giggles making Scott playfully glare at her.

Allison chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, to you."

"Me?" Scott stammered, trying not to show his alarm. "I mean, are you sure?"

Allison raised an eyebrow, her expression amused. "Yeah, this way, I have an excuse to bring you home to study other than, 'Kylie wanted to see Kate.'" She poked Kylie's tummy, making the toddler burst into giggles.

"Oh," Scott mumbled, not knowing how to respond.

Allison frowned, noticing his unease. "You don't mind, do you?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry.

Scott shook his head quickly. "I just—I don't want to bring your grade down."

Allison smiled, her eyes softening. "Well, maybe I can bring your grade up." She paused, then added, "Come by my place tonight with Kylie. I wasn't lying when I said that Kate wanted to see her. 8:30."

"Tonight?" Scott echoed, trying to remind himself of his promise to stay away from Allison.

Allison nodded. "8:30," she repeated firmly.

Suddenly, Coach slammed a book down on his desk, the sound echoing through the room and making Kylie jump in Allison's lap. Everyone turned to look at him.

"Let's settle down," Coach said, his voice commanding the attention of the entire class.

Kylie frowned, looking around the classroom. Everyone was already quiet, and she didn't understand what more he wanted.

"Let's start with a quick summary of last night's reading," Coach continued, his gaze scanning the room.

Several students raised their hands eagerly.

"Greenburg, put your hand down. Everybody knows you did the reading," Coach said dismissively. His eyes then landed on Scott. "How about, uh, McCall!"

Scott's head snapped up, confusion clear on his face. Kylie shook her head, whispering under her breath, "This isn't good."

"Wha-?" Scott stammered, clearly caught off guard.

"The reading," Coach prompted, his patience wearing thin.

"Last... night's... reading?" Scott repeated, hesitantly.

"Nah, how about the... reading of the Gettysburg Address?" Coach said, sarcasm dripping from his words.
