The wedding feast was set. They'd feast before the actual ceremony would take place. The long tables were set up with white table clothes and dozens of chairs.
Michael was dressed in his finery, a gray suitcoat and dark gray pants with a white tie and an blue shirt. He was ready. Beyond ready. He wanted to marry Aurora, consummate the marriage as quickly as possible, and shove it in Clarke's face.
What had happened between them? They had once been good friends – best friends. Yet when Aurora had arrived, something had happened. Clarke had accused Michael of using Aurora, playing her just because of her physical beauty – despite the blindness. Michael had lashed back, saying that Clarke was just jealous that Michael had the girl. Both men has stormed away, each wishing the other harm.
Now, though, Michael would finally have the victory over Clarke. He knew that Clarke and Aurora had continued to be friends despite the break between the men. He didn't think much of it. Clarke was out of his life, and soon, would be out of Aurora's as well. He could tell that Aurora was nervous. He knew she really wasn't sure of her feelings, but he'd assured her that even if she didn't love him now, that eventually she would.
