Luke: John's last attempt at asking out Lily failed miserably. So, today I'm trying a new tactic: Threats.
"What's going on?" John asked, entering the green room.
"What are these, John?" Luke asked, pointing to the fuzzy dice from the Muttcracker.
"Fuzzy dice." John said.
"From where?" Luke asked.
"The van." John said.
"The van." Luke confirmed. "Now, if you ever wanna see these again, or any other part of the van for that matter, you ask out Lily, today."
"Actually, I think that's a bad idea." John said. "You see-"
"Can it!" Luke yelled.
John: There's no way I could ask Lily out. Last time I tried, there was this whole misunderstanding with Theo, and it was a disaster.
"It's today, or you can kiss the van goodbye for the rest of your life." Luke said. "You can walk everywhere."
John nodded slowly.
Luke picked up the dice and put them near John's face. "Never again." He whispered, before walking out.
John: I know Luke is right, but I am really not ready for this.

"Hey, Lily." Alex said. "I've been meaning to talk to you."
"Oh." Lily said, beginning to become uneasy. "Um, what's up?"
"I just wanted to apologize, for everything I've put you through." Alex said. "I owe you an explanation. The truth is," He took a deep breath. "I think, I think I might be gay. That date I never showed up to, I was going to tell you that night, but I was too scared, so I never showed up. I've been trying to convince myself that I was straight this whole time. And I thought, I thought that if I was still with you, it would be easier. And I'm really sorry I used you like that. I'm sorry I was a jerk. I'm sorry I kissed you. I really hope you can forgive me eventually."
"Alex, you shouldn't have to hide who you are." Lily said. "I forgive you."
"Thank you." Alex said, pulling Lily into a hug without thinking. He suddenly realized what he did and abruptly stopped. "I-I'm sorry. I was just caught up in the moment."
"Alex, don't worry about it." Lily said. "We're good. You don't need permission to hug me."
"This is why I love you to pieces." Alex said, giving her one last hug before walking away.
"Well," Lily said sighing. "Talk about a plot twist."
