I look in the mirror disgusted with what I was wearing. You see it had been exactly a week since the school had let us know that we would begin to wear uniforms and I and almost every girl in the school hated them. I looked down at my navy blue collared shirt with the school logo and a long skirt that went below my knees. We we’re required to wear white shoes that didn’t have any patterns so I bough some white vans. This would also be the day when we officially merged with the boys’ school. Seeing as both our schools weren’t big enough for all of us we’re at a new building a little farther away.

Since I had no choice in my outfit I decided to put a little more effort into how I look, and I may or may not be trying to look better because of guys now at our school. Anyways I decided to full out straighten my hair, I use to do that but it took forever so I just kind of rolled with my natural hair. After I had straighten my hair and made it look nice and shiny I went to do my make-up. Which really wasn’t that much, it was mascara and baby lips.

“Soph, if we’re going to make it to school on time we’ll have to leave now.” Niall says sticking his head into my room.

“Gotcha.” I said grabbing my bag.

I’m not going to lie, I was some what excited for this day of school, our schedules would be changed, which didn’t make much sense because I just got use to my old schedule. Niall and I drove to school in his car and I texted Laykin the entire time because she was freaking out about the schedules. With my luck I wasn’t going to get any classes with Laykin, Brooklyn, or Chelsea. I was probably going to get stuck with Andi, Ashlyn, and Gracie.

When I arrived at school, wearing the ugly uniform might I add, Laykin was waiting for me at the back of the school, beside her Brooklyn was standing. I waved good-bye to Niall and he waved back to all of us, almost killing Brooklyn. I had forgotten that she was a fan.

“Supposedly all students are supposed to go into the gymnasium when school starts to pick up their schedules.” Laykin tells me as we walk into the school. I look at her and Brooklyn’s uniforms which were exactly the same as mine, Laykin had done a side French braid bun thing and Brooklyn had her hair straight down her back.

We made our way towards the courtyard I’m assuming because that’s where all of the kids were, boy and girl. On one side was the boys and another was the girls. It looked like there was practically an invisible line right now the middle of the two sections. Since this was a new school for all of us no one really knew where to go.

Laykin’s head scanned the crowd, and I knew exactly what she was doing. “Anyone spark your interest Lay?” I ask smirking at her.

She looks over at me and knows immediately what I am talking about. “I’m just looking.” She assures me. “Besides I’m fourteen years old and you know how many boyfriends I’ve had? Zero”

I roll my eyes at her and notice Chelsea coming this way. She was wearing the uniform also, well everyone was, and she had her hair curled in pretty big curls and her make-up looked like it was done by a professional.
