A/N: So it's been years since I've updated this series. I didn't really expect to continue or complete this but I just suddenly felt the urge to write. I'm not sure if I will continue this series or of I do how long it will be. I actually forgot a lot of the plot haha. But hey I'll try my best. I also wouldn't expect long chapters. I'm not good with writing them so long.

So the dynamic between Alistair and Francis will probably change next chapter seeing as how I wrote most of this chapter a year ago. I feel they would have more harmony between them.

Alfred ran into the little shop where Peter was located. Vash, Lily and Francis were hot on his trail.

"Hello, I'm guessing you're the father?" Alistair asked lazily looking up at them from the T.V.

"Yeah. Where is he?" He asked still frantic.

"In the back with my brother. He patched the boy up when he got here." He said bored.

"Patched up?! Oh my God Peter!" He shouted running into the back.

Alistair smirked and turned back to the T.V. a twinkle of mirth in his eyes.

Francis pouted. Alistair had completely ignored him for some stupid program. They just became friends so why was he ignored?

"Ahem."

Alistair didn't even bat an eye. His eyes were to busy glued to the television screen.

Angry from being ignored He walked over to one of the isles and grabbed a bottle of cheap wine. He then walked back over to Alistair to purchase and drink it. It was cheap but it was still wine.

"I would like to purchase this please." He said putting it on the counter and pulling out a 20 from his wallet.

"What?" Alistair looked up FINALLY noticing the Frenchman.

"I said I would like to purchase this... Wine..." He answered, practically spitting out the word wine in disgust.

"Oh yeah sure..." Alistair said awkwardly.

'Does he not recognize me or is he just pretending not to know me?' Francis asked himself.

"So... Ah... You're with them?" He asked awkwardly.

"Why yes I am. I am... How do you say it? His special friend." Francis said proudly.

"Then why did you ask me out?" Alistair asked feeling bad for the other man.

"Because I find you attractive. Why else?"

"That's not what I meant..."

Alistair looked over at Lily and Vash. Making sure they were out of hearing range.

"Why would you ask me out if you're already seeing him?" He asked more directly.

'How did he come up with that conclusion?!' Francis screamed in his head.

"Excuse me but I am not that kind of man! I believe in true love not lust. Such a despicable act is not worthy of my kind heart. I would rather die than hurt someone I love. No, I am merely a family friend."

"Oh, so you're just a friend of theirs?" Alistair asked just to be sure.

"Yes. Besides he already has a lover." Francis cleared up.

"His wife?"

"Yes and no. It's complicated." Francis didn't want to tell this stranger their life's story. It wasn't his place to say.

"I understand. I won't pry any further."

And he did understand. He and Arthur were in a bad situation themselves. One that only a few could understand.
