"What's it like?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He concerntrated hard on my every move, causing me to almost bite back my curiousity, but it was too late.

"Being a vampire?" The words already rolled off my tongue.

He tensed up, taken aback by my question as he stopped in his tracks.

"It's like drowning..." he grabbed both of my wrists and forced me to look him directly in the eye. I could feel his warm breath trickle onto my cheek, giving me a cold flush by his way with words.

I felt an invisible locking on my throat, and my heart beat seemed to slow down fast.

"Except everyone around you is breathing" his now incoherent breathing whispered close to my ear.
