Chapter 2

I needed to see that place again. I needed to go there again. It was the place where everything happened, the places where my heart was crushed, it was that place.

I stood outside of the cafe just like I did that day. After my encounter with Nick earlier, I just felt like I had to come, I felt like it was a mission i had to complete. I can't believe I actually loved that man-slut. Yes, I called him a man-slut.

However that was the past and this is the present. I loved Nick which means it was in the past. That's not the case anymore. Actually now i can deeply say that i hate him.

I entered Cassidy's cafe while taking deep breaths and sat down in the exactly same place where I sat when I was meeting up with Nick. As I took a seat, the whole memory replayed in my head as if it was happening again. I just stared at the seat in front of me, it was were Nick was sitting.

"Hello, would you li-" A familiar voice sounded and I turned to see that waiter. "Hey! Umm, Ashley was it?" So he remembered.

"Yes and your Drake, am I right?" Drake nodded in response before taking a seat in front of me. The seat where Nick was sitting before.

Ugh, forget Nick!

"So is everything going good?" He asked in concern.

"If you consider finding out that your boyfriend cheated on you then he can't stop bugging you and leave you alone then yes everything is just great!" I stated in my most sarcastic tone.

"Well that's great to hear!" He replied in the same sarcastic voice I used.

"You know what, stay here." I stared at Drake before he rapidly got up from his seat and headed to the cafe staff room only to come out with a cup in his hand.

"This is for you, it's on the house." He gave me a beautiful smile which made me want to melt. I took the cup out of his hand then muttered a thank you. Once I took one sip of the coffee, I knew I had to come here more often. Firstly it was a cappuccino, I was in love with cappuccinos. Secondly it was the best one I had ever tasted in my whole entire life. I wouldn't mind living me whole life with only cups of Cassidy cafe's cappuccino.

"This is so amazing!" I groaned.

"I'm glad you like it! Just don't pour it all over me." He chuckled and I tried to keep a straight face but only to end laughing with him.

"Yeah, you better be careful!" I warned. After a few second of silence, I decided to know more about this guy. I liked him, he was different than other guys I met. Drake was genuine and sweet.

"So you work here?" I asked not knowing what else to say. I mentally wanted to slap myself. He obviously worked here!

"Yep. This cafe belongs to my dad..." He trailed off while looking at his hands. When he looked up at me my heart instantly skipped a beat. I could see something in his eyes, it was sadness.

"My dad isn't feeling best right now so I usually work here to help him out." He continued while frowning. I placed my hand on top of his and looked at him directly in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry. I hope he gets better." I whispered to him. His frown quickly disappeared and was replaced with a smile. A smile that made me die in my place and fly to heaven.

"It's ok." He answered back.

"So since this is a family business I'm guessing that you are Drake Cassidy?"

"The one and only."

"Nice name. Weird combination but very nice."

"And you?"
