We got a text from Patrick's phone early on Monday morning.
"I am stone cold.
But you won't need a key to get me to open up to you.
You can't touch me without feeling the same way as I.
But you can get rid of the sensation from both of us.
I'm too deep to obtain myself,
You must take the plummet to find me.
Tell me what I am and you will get the location of the next riddle."
We were all very confused. A riddle? I thought they'd show us some random location. We sat around for an hour trying to figure it out. "Stone cold.." I began, giving hope to Joe and Andy. "Maybe it's not referring to an expression but to what it's actually made out of?" Andy wrote it down on a scrap of paper.
"Won't need a key to get me to open up to you.." I tapped my fingers on the edge of the sofa. "Unlocked stone box?" Joe suggested. I pointed at him, a smile forming on my face. "POSSIBLY!"
"Something must be covering it like.. water or some other substance."
"You can get rid of the sensation.. from drying it?" Joe asked.
"Too deep, plummet to find me. Is it in a lake? Or a pond?" Andy asked.
"Text it."
I texted Patrick's phone with the words "A box in some volume of water."
Seconds later I got a reply. "Here is the location of your next riddle." She sent us a picture of a cafe down on main-street.
"Main-street, lets go."
* I AM SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING THIS. I was very, very ,very stuck on the plot but it's all fixed now and as it may not be a very good plot it is planned. I'm sorry this is so short but I have French orals on Monday that I should be revising for. Thanks for sticking with me through this!*
