Daryls P.O.V

I wake up to a blinding light and faint beeps. I was in a white room with many kinds of hospital gear. My eyes adjust to the light of the room and I look around. It's just like a normal hospital room. My head ached along with my arms and feet. I manage to look at my wounds on my arm. I got stitches. I slowly moved my head forwards to see my legs. My left leg has a cast. It must be broken. Of course I can't see my head but It hurts like hell. I laid my head back to try and forget what had happened. I remembered what had happened vividly. I remember falling with a key. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep. I jump when I hear knocking on the hospital door. A nurse with a cart of food trays walked in.

"Hello Mr. Reedus.

She smiled but I didn't answer her.
She came forward beside the bed I was on and put a trey of cereal with no milk, black coffee, and a fruit cup. No spoon. Typical hospital food. On the nightstand beside me.
"What time is it? What happened?" I had so many questions running through my head right now. What if I was in the IHCU? With the monkeys?

"It's 6:00 am. I'm here for your early morning cheak up and breakfast. (Idr what time the nurses brought food for breakfast but whatever😝)

I saw her name tag; Mrs. Sevenfold (Avenge sevenfold😂) She began telling me what had happened to me. I was right; My leg was broken and I got 32 stitches in my arm. Plus I had a concussion. Luckily they said I could go home the next day because the concussion was only minor and the stitches are healing super well. The nurse left in about 5 minutes after she had finished the tests. I contemplated eating. I soon passed the thought of eating and left the food. I felt sick to my stomach. I was home sick. In pain. The warning. Not talking to Ruby. I wanted out. I tried sitting up but my head hurt so much. I tried moving my arm and I winced in pain. I couldn't even move my leg. I froze. I couldn't do anything. My mind went black, completely oblivious as to what is happening in the background. My eyes closed but I didn't notice. I assume I had fallen asleep for a while because when I woke up again their was 4 treys of food. My blanket was on the floor and my whole body was numb. I was laying their for about 2 or 3 minutes until a doctor came in with my mother.
"Honey we can go home now"
I heard her say in her sweet caring mother voice.
I internally smiled.

"Thank god"
I smiled and the doctor helped    me out of bed. I wasn't in pain. Just my head hurting slightly. My mom handed me crutches after I lost my balance a couple times.
"Let's go" She smiled

I had gotten used to the crutches already. I had completely forgotten why I wanted the key for the shed. I might remember in some time.

"Ready to go to the gun practice?"

I jumped remembering about gun practice! I smiled and yelled 'Yes' like a little kid. It was weird but I was so happy to be going to a place I have been waiting to go to for a long time. By now my injuries would be healed enough for me to move but it might be hard shooting the gun with my stitched arm. I went anyways. Yolo!

*Time skip to gun place thingy whatever*

Me and my mom walked through the door. As quickly as I went in I heard the practice gunshots being fired. I could see people putting on gear and getting their guns ready.

*Time skip to after setting up brought to you by burrito :D*

I was standing there. Gun ready, chamber locked. Helmet on. Ready to shoot. I was so excited. My mother was standing behind me. But I was too concentrated to notice anything else.

*BAM* *BAM* *BAM*

I didn't do too bad for my first try. I missed once, Shot the head once, and then an arm.

Just then, I was the happiest person alive until all hell broke loose.

"AAAAAAAAHHHH"

I heard this woman scream! I spun around to see the woman sitting on a chair in the side lines facing a small child. She wasn't her.

She was a zombie.

UGHHHHH This chapter is STILLLLL not long enough for my liking. Sorry. 😅I have been busy with school. In fact, I have too leave for school in 10 minutes or so.
