While getting ready for bed, I noticed a shadow running through my room. My heart pounded as I called for help. After a short while, he appeared. In the blink of an eye, he ran over to me and put a wet washcloth over my face.

He said, "You're mine now."

Then, my body went numb. I blacked out.

I awoke in the middle of the woods. Pine, spruce, and oak trees are all around me. The needles from the pine trees cover me. There is a full moon directly above me, so I know it is midnight. There is a brilliant glow between the branches of the moon. A cloud of smoke is visible in the distance. The instant I saw it, I ran as fast as I could. A house came into view as I approached it.

The house was massive it was a strange shape. It is all the colors of a rainbow. The eyes stared at me through the window as I climbed the stairs to the door. My instinct was to knock on the door despite being scared. I reached out and knocked on it. I wait for a few minutes to see if anyone answered it. I gave up and started to walk away. Then, as I headed down the stairs I heard the door open. I turn around and saw a young woman.

She said, "Hello, I'm Anna. Who are you?"

"My name is Lily," I answered timidly.

"Well, Hello, Lily. Why are you walking alone in the forest?" questioned Anna.

"I honestly don't know what happened. I blacked out and woke up here." I answered.

"You must be hungry and cold out here. Why don't you stay here for the night?" She asked sweetly.

"I would love to," I answered.

I cautiously walked into the house with Anna. The inside of the house is beautiful. It had wooden walls, pictures of her family, and a granite floor. As we walked into the kitchen I saw a man who looked to be in his mid-30s. He looked over at me and just went back to cooking. It was like Anna takes has strangers over often.

"Hello, I'm Lily," I said politely.

"Hello, Lily, I'm Eddy," He replied, not taking his eyes off the food.

The kitchen countertops were made of glass. The cabinets were marble. The kitchen's wallpaper was a checker pattern. The cabinet doors were glass. You could smell the fried chicken, peas, and mashed potatoes cooking. It is completely unpractical, but at the same time, it is beautiful.
