It was a warm summer morning, the birds chirping and the sun shining brightly. Ever since I was a little girl I've been playing baseball, I couldn't stand softball, in fact I played baseball with the guys until high school. The first day of freshman year was unforgettable. I was usually a tomboy didn't dress "pretty" wasn't into makeup or things like that but once the day was over I headed over to the baseball fields to take batting practice, but once I got there I saw him, someone I hadn't seen before. I walked over and looked up at him, he had broad shoulders, an athletic figure, beautiful sea green eyes that made any girl melt. In that moment I stood there and was mesmerized with him, he looked at me with a puzzled face and told me that cheer practice was in the gym. I was offended by his remark, I told him that I wasn't a cheerleader and I was there to take batting practice, he laughed as I stood there with an annoyed face. He said you is this some kind of Joke ? Girls don't play baseball! Run along or you could stay and keep admiring me, I saw the way you were looking at me, he chuckled. Oh the nerve of this boy. I told him you want to give me your bat, I'll show you what this "cheerleader" can do. He said I don't want you to get those pretty hands of yours dirty. I was so enraged that I ran to get my bat and pushed him out of my way, I was so blinded my rage that when the ball came towards me I swang with all my might, needless to say, that one went out of the park. He stood there, speechless, wondering how I managed to swing that hard, I told him, you see! I'm no fake! You think you can take me on ? Let's see what you could do pretty boy.
