Ancient heart

Chapter 1- The happy park

      The solar eclipse approached, and the little girl looked up.
"No!" Her mother screamed and turned the little girl's head down into her arms. "Don't ever look at a solar eclipse, for it will blind you into a multiverse world!"

The park seemed like a place roaring with life. Couples were walking. Families were having picnics.. Young adults are kayaking on the river. Geese were swimming towards the edge of the docks to receive bits of bread from laughing children. Everyone was SEEMS happy.

          Tears threatened to come out the less Nadine drank. Her skin was itching and her clothes was dirty. Why had she been so dumb and be fooled by her boyfriend. She still heard his synthetic soothing voice, "I love you. You know I would never hurt you in anyway that will, crush you."

'Stupid vodka. It's supposed to be strong. Knock me down already!' Just as she was about to pull in another chug, a homeless man snatch the bottle away from her. "Hey! That's mine! I'm the one that wants to get drunk!"

Nadine started to cry, but he didn't listen nor care. Nadine stop crying and silently watched him chug down the drink. "Mister, can I ask you a question?"

When he didn't answer, Nadine continued, "Have you ever just wanted to...sleep? To want to sleep forever without anything to upset you? Or change your life into something more exciting? Less painful?"

         It took him a moment to finally speak, "Life doesn't change because you want it to." He then laid his head gently on the corner of the deck, and promptly began to fall in a deep sleep. Nadine groaned in frustration and stared into the clear water. Just then, she noticed a hand coming above the surface. Then the other jolted up and began splashing desperately.

   The head of the body finally appeared: a mere 7 year old. He yelled, "HELP ME! IM TO YOUNG TO DIE!"

   'But you are never to young to suffer'. Nadine quickly got up and began looking around muttering, "There is no way no one else hasn't noticed the boy. Surely they'll rescue him." However, her confidence completely vanished as she saw the families continuing their happy day." You've got to be kidding me!"

Without thinking it, she jumped into the fresh water and began swimming towards the boy. The more she swam, the farther he was. Just as she was about 10 meters away from him, a woman yelled from a distance, "My son!"

'You've got to be the cheesiest mother I've ever heard! Have you not been wondering where your son was?'

The father's son jumped on his boat and swiftly passed by Nadine, the motor throwing water at Nadine. 'Thanks.'

He pulled up his kid into the boat and kissed him on the cheek. "Oh... my son!"

Leaving Nadine behind, the cheesy father sped to the deck. Nadine spits.

Little did Nadine know how her life was about to change. A solar eclipse approaches and covers the clear sky. As she is trying trying to swim back, everything turns black....
