Hermione was just walking back to the library and she really hoped to bump into that girl again. She had been invading her mind all week and that didn't help Hermione study at all.
Hermione didn't know where to look for her, or if she was even there, but the spot at the window seemed like a good place to start. When she got there she couldn't find the girl at all and that realization made her sigh.
Hermione sat down in the same spot she was in last time and pulled out her book for defense against the dark arts. She knew alot but, studying always calmed her down whenever she felt nervous or distressed. It was like her release.
Only 2 words in the third chapter and she felt a tap on her shoulder. It did startle Hermione and she jumped making the person behind her step back.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to return this book to you," She said as she sat the big book on the table next to Hermione, "I should be going now." The girl was about to walk off again but Hermione grabbed her hand quickly. This time the girl was the one who jumped.
"It's fine, my name's Hermione Granger by the way. Would you like to join me?" Hermione said with a genuine smile and the girl gave a small nod.
"I'm Lisa, Lisa Thornwood." She said sitting next to Hermione. She looked down at the cover of the book she just returned to Hermione.
"It's a good book you'know." Lisa said referring to it, and Hermione shook her head.
"I haven't read it yet, I don't really read fantasy stories." Hermione said with a sheepish smile and Lisa giggled.
"Yeah, I guess it was strange that I had never seen you here before." Lisa said before looking down at her book. "Your seem more of a facts type of girl." She continued, making Hermione nod.
"Yeah but the cover of that story looks interesting, what's it about?" Hermione asked as she had turned towards her without thinking.
"Oh it's called Percy Ja-..." Lisa was cut off when she noticed how close she and Hermione became when she had looked back up. At an inch closer their noses would be touching. Hermione couldn't help but shiver as she could feel Lisa's breath hitch right infront of her, and her minty breath was tickling her nose, but created a firery desperation of want to feel those lips against her own.
Both girls pulled away flustered and muttering messes of apologies. Lisa was quick to pick up her book and her little bag she was carrying, Hermione did the same.
This was the first time she actually looked at Lisa, only meeting her once before, and that time ended in a hurry, this time though, Hermione could see that Lisa was actually shorter then herself by maybe 3-4 inches, which surprised her since she wasn't very tallish herself, but she didn't dwell on that. Hermione also noticed her long brown hair, it seemed to reach just below the ends of her back and it looked very soft and shiny, making Hermione wonder about what products she used. But what Hermione had already loved about Lisa was her eyes. Hermione couldn't help but stare abit and compare the differnt shades of blue to them.
Hermione was snapped out of her daze when Lisa waved her hand in her face.
"Hey, since we're in the same house, we can walk together right?" Lisa asked looking up at the slightly taller girl, who was only able to nod until realization dawned on her.
"Wait, your in Griffindor? How come I've never noticed you?" Hermione asked shocked. She was pretty sure that if she had seen Lisa before she would immediately remember.
Lisa looked down, her cheeks tinted a small pink. "This is my first year, and I get so shy so I normally don't talk to people much. I haven't made any friends yet either." She said and Hermione just smiled.
"Well consider me your first friend, and I'll introduce you to my friends so you can have even more. Now come on, we should be heading back now." Hermione said as she grabbed Lisa hand and lead her back to the Griffindor chambers.
