Chapter One:

After a hard days work me and Momo walked to the river to wash up.
The Sky's were covered with dark clouds, It was supposed to rain sometime today. It was early spring, The flowers bloomed, the birds sung. It was a nice day...That's what I thought before the village got attacked my swords men.
Screams came from the village. Momo looked at me with panic, as if asking me what to do.
"There's more over there!" I heard a man yell as he pointed in our direction.
"Come on!" I yelled grabbing a hold of Momo's hand and running thought the river, Lucky for us the river was low enough for us to walk though it without a problem.
We ran across the river and into the woods, after running for what seemed forever we came to a stop at a big willow tree. "Climb up!" I said pointing over at the tree, She did what she was told and climbed up.
"What about you?" She asked. "Here I'll help you up!" She reached her hand out toward me.
I shook my head and backed away. "I can't I must go help the village, You stay here and be quite until I come and get you!"
"What, no you can't leave me here Lu!" She said panic in her voice.
"Don't worry I'll come back."
"Promise me!" She cried.
"I promise I'll come back." I smiled then left, Leaving her up there were she would be safe, That's if she dosen't get caught by falling out of the tree or something like that.
When I got to the village everyone was gone, There were a few bodies here and there that lay still. The homes were on fire. Tears filled my eyes. "How could this have happened!" I asked myself.
That's when it hit me...Were was mum and dad at? did they get taken away as well, or worse were they dead like the other bodies that lay still on the ground?
I felt panic rise inside of me. "Mum! Dad!" I called as tears ran down my red sweaty face. There was no answer.
I called out again, Still no answer. I ran toward our home, or use to be home before it burnt down. I froze when I saw dad laying still on the ground next to the house.
"Dad!" I cried kneeling by his body. There was a poodle of blood around him, His face was pale eyes closed. Hope came to me when I saw him breathing. "Daddy?"
He opened his eyes, his green eyes locking on mine, He raised his hand and touched my cheek.
"I was afraid they had taken you as well." He whispered. He had dark rings around his eyes that made him look like he hasen't slept in forever.
"I'll go find help!" I said about to get up until he grabbed my arm. He shook his head with a smile. "I wan't you to have this...my dad gave it to me when I turned seventeen, now I'm passing it down to you."
He pulled out a necklace from his pocket and put it in my hand. "Keep it safe, I believe that's what they came here for." He said.
I started down at what looked like a glass dragonfly, It was a Blue Color Diachronic glass with a dragonfly inside. "It's pretty dad, but why are they after it?" I asked looking back at him.
My heart seemed to break when I seen his eyes were closed and he'd stopped breathing.
"Daddy!" I cried laying my head on his chest letting the tears soak his white shirt.
