Laurel left my house and I was silent. Moving in with her? I heard some talking downstairs. "Oliver, come here, quickly!" I heard my mother yell from downstairs. I quickly ran downstairs to see Anna in her school uniform, shivering, soaking wet, and bleeding. "What the hell happened?" I asked, helping her to the kitchen. She coughed, the split in her lip becoming worse. "My father, found out that I failed my Stage 6 Yale entry test. He wasn't too happy." She said, sitting down on the counter while I found the first-aid kit. "So he beat the shit out of you?" "Not exactly, it was some guys on the street, but it was obviously him, the men had our company's symbol on them. One of them even apologized afterwards." She screwed her eyes shut when I applied the peroxide to one of her many cuts. "On the bright side-" I gave her a look that cut her off. "There's no bright side, your father is a terrible man and hiring someone to hurt his own daughter, is horrible." I said, my voice getting louder. "Hey. Ollie." I looked up. Her green eyes held concern for me. I almost laughed aloud. She was just assaulted and she's concerned for me. "Are you okay? You seem stressed." She said, gently pushing my hands away. "I should be asking you that, does your brother know about this?" "No, and he won't. He already hates Dad enough. Can you get him over here?" We heard yelling. "I think I won't have too." She got up and limped to the foyer. I helped her walk. "Oh my god, Anna!" Tommy yelled, snatching her into a hug. He pulled back, holing her face and checking her over. "Is anything broken? Are you bleeding anywhere? Do you need a-" "TOMMY!" She shouted. He looked at her, worried. "I'm okay, just some random gang looking for money." "Last time a 'random gang' went after a Merlyn, we lost our mother." Tommy said, relaxing a small bit. Hurt flashed over Anna's face. She looked just like Tommy and Mr. Merlyn, just with her mother's green eyes. Tommy helped her to a couch. I stayed behind, talking with the cop that brought her here and thanked him.
