To Walk This World Alone

Chapter 2

"Katlin's Pov

When we walk in to History everyone is staring right at me and Dean. He just smiles and walks towards the only two free desks left in the class and waves me over once he takes his seat "Don't mind them they just are not used to new people." I nod and keep my head down looking at my desk hoping the teacher doesn't make me stand up and say anything, which he doesn't i feel relived and just work on my class work but Dean is just staring at me "is there something on my face?" I question and he quickly turns his head "uh....n-no there isn't." I laugh to myself and continue working on the history assignment before the bell rings signaling that it is time to go to my second period art.

I finally find the art room to see that Dean also has this class with me so is it across the room next to a girl who doesn't have anyone else next to her she looks up at me surprised then starts talking to me"OH-Hey i'm Jessica but most people call me Jessie I don't mind either aren't you the new girl......Katlin i think it was but anyway you can come sit by me and my friends at lunch if you would like!" I Pause for a second to process everything she just said the nod "Yes I'm Katlin the new girl and I would love to sit with you guys at lunch." I look at the teacher while she goes on about the cartoon style of drawing I already learned this so I start on the project which was to either make a comic book or a manga. I start sketching out the format and the main characters I plan on using for my manga when I feel someone staring at me and I look up to see Dean quickly turning his head I ignore it cause he could have been looking at anyone. After I finish sketching the main character Takashi the teacher finally takes her seat and everyone else starts talking or drawing when Jessie looks over "wow you're really good especially at manga drawing how did you get so good hey have you seen..." And she just starts listing off anime's and I nod my head because everyone she is mentioning I have seen. Once the bell rings Jessie walks me to my 3rd hour because we both have P.E while we walk she continues to talk me ear off while I try to follow her fast words as they are being thrown at me and I try to answer as many questions as she asks them when we get to gym Jessie lets me borrow her extra pair of gym clothes.
