Elli's P.O.V.
Tomorrow is the first day of high school - my freshman year. Damn, I'm stressed. I doubt I'll fit in.
It took me the whole three years of middle school to find two people who are weird enough to accept me, and only one of them (Olivia) is going to the same high school as I am.
Olivia and I both have the same dream: to find our Prince Charming in this crazy, messed up world. It will be hard, but we are determined to make it happen.
Great start to the first day.
So far I got up late, made breakfast (spilled my cereal on the dog), and missed my bus. Mom is at work, so she can't drive me. Walking it is! It's only eight blocks to my school..
First period is English. I get to class just after the bell, of course. Unfortunately, my teacher notices.
"You're late, miss..."
"Miller."
"Right.. Elliza Miller?"
"Yeah."
"Since it's the first day, I wont count you tardy. Just have a seat."
Oh joy, I get to find a seat. This is how the class looks: Nerds (in the front of course), cheerleaders and jocks, "goths" , and a few average-looking people.
I take a seat in the back, by the average group. Everyone seems to know each other. They're all talking, joking, laughing with each other; No one seems to care that our teacher is trying to, you know, teach us.
There's one girl not too far away who looks like she could use someone to talk to.
"Hey!" That's all I manage to get out. I'm pretty shy when it comes to meeting
new people.
"Hey." she says.
"I noticed you weren't talking to anyone. Do you have any friends in this class?" I ask.
"Nah, I'm kind of an outcast."
"Really? Me too."
"Cool. I'm Alex by the way. You're Elliza, right?"
"Yeah, call me Elli though. God, I hate the name Elliza."
"Haha, it's not terrible," Alex teases giving me a jokingly disgusted face.
