"I missed this so much."

"Don't read into this." He kept his arms firmly around my waist, continuing to embrace me. We've been hugging so long, I was starting to get uncomfortable,"Jace that's enough." He reluctantly released me.

"(Y/n), I..." I knew what he was going to say, but it seemed even he thought it was not getting to me. He knew if he said it again, he'd be just wasting his breath. This made me feel a little guilty. I could sense him biting his tongue angrily, then he sighed,"You're welcome," and he walked away solemly.

"Ja–" I rose my hand, as if I could just reach out, pluck him and pull him back. But, he was far gone. He rounded the corner and disappeared into the thick crowd of girls. I dropped my hand and sighed, running my hands through my probably messy hair. I was a mess. I was crushed, broken but I was being prodded and poked by all the little things in life to be put back together. If that even made sense. I suddenly remembered the assembly,"They might still be there!" I took off towards the gym, pushing my way through the stuffy corridor. To be honest, I've never run this fast in my life. I was panting like I was about to have an asthma attack. I shoved open the gym doors and am only greeted with the stage still poked out and the microphone still set up. I groan and swear out loud.

"Watch the language, Miss." I hear a familiar voice. I whip around so fast my vision goes blurry for a second,"The assembly's over. What are you still doing here? Unless, you uh...have this class next period."

I shake my head,"N-no. Um...I was..." I scratch back of my neck,"I was looking for you." Robin's eyes flicker with surprise before he shakes the tilts his head a little to the side. In all honesty, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen,"I missed the assembly. I wanted to do the interview thing.."

"Ohh." He says nodding his head. He suddenly frowned,"But the Titans already left including the main one we need. How about I round them up tomorrow and we'll give you a private one after school?" I smiled.

"Yeah. I'd like that." I pulled him in for a hug. For a moment, he stood erect, not moving, before he slowly wrapped his arms around the small of my back. Man, I was really giving these hugs out to guys. This was weird, especially since I was trying to avoid them before. To ruin the moment, my phone began to ring.

"Oh no, do you have to leave? Did I make you late for something?" He frowned. I laughed and shook my head.

"No no. It's okay. " My phone stopped ringing,"It was probably a random number. Those pop up a lot. " he nodded his head,"Can I ask you a question?"

     "You just did."

"Well can I ask you two?"

"You just did." He laughed. I pushed him slightly, and his shoulder moved backwards and made a little shiver. I chuckled.

"Okay then can I ask you four?"

"You just di–oh wait..." I laughed louder, clutching my stomach. It was really cute how he made a realization look.

"Can you teach me how to fight? Like you know, a couple punches or whatever?"

"Why? Is someone bothering you?" I kept silent,"Wait what's your name? Oh my god, I don't even know your name!"

     "It's (Y/n)." I chuckled,"(Y/n) (L/n)." He smiled softly.

"Okay then, (Y/n). If I teach you how to fight, you have to promise me not to ever use it in vain to hurt or possibly kill an innocent person. You may only use it to defend yourself, okay?" I nodded,"Okay, first off, show me your punch. Hit me."

"I can't hit you, Robin!" I exclaimed,"I'd feel bad afterwards." He chuckled.

"Just do it. I'll be fine. I promise." I breathed out and gave a quick punch to his upper arm. He tsked,"You got your punch all wrong. See?" He took my hand and flattened out my fingers so they rested against his glove covered palm,"Bawl your fist up." I gathered my fingers into a fist like before and kept it on his hand,"You're not supposed to tuck your thumb inside your fingers. When you come in contact with the other person for the punch, not only do they get away with little to no pain, you get a broken thumb. You don't want that." He slowly pulled my thumb from the inside of my fist and wrapped it around my second and third knuckles, "Now, punch me again." I punched him in the same place and he drew back with a shout,"Damn!" He covered his mouth. I laughed aloud.

"Language!" I grinned. In one swift move, he slid his leg under mine and caught me before I fell,"Way to sweep a girl off her feet." I roll my eyes.

"I have my ways." He grinned. We stayed in this position for a moment until the bell ring. He set me on my feet.

"That's the Lunch bell. I'll see you later, yeah?" I wave, setting off towards the lunchroom.

"You can count on it, (Y/n)." He went towards the other exit, and I pushed open the doors to the gym. Immediately, I was bombarded with questions by Jace.

"Who's that? Is he your boyfriend? Are you cheating on me?" I stop in my tracks and turn around, the hallway dead empty.

"First of all, that's Robin, one of the city's greatest heroes. Second, if he was my boyfriend, he'd be better than you ever were.  And third, how can I cheat on you and we aren't even dating!?"

"Just because I cheated on you once, doesn't mean you have to do the same to me. Two wrongs don't make a right, (Y/n)."

Rage surges through me,"Oh now you want to say that? The only reason you cheated on me is because we got into an argument similar to this one, and I stormed out on your sorry ass! You got drunk, you got stupid and you did stupid! End of story. We're done. I thought we established that." I turned to walk off, but he grabbed my arm and pushed me against the wall. He got close to my face like he used to when he wanted me.

"How can you say that, (Y/n)? You know I still love you. I always have, I always will."

"Shut up." I spat," If you loved me you wouldn't have cheated on that dirty bitch! So, stop saying that. You don't love me. Stop staying that, Ja–" he cut my sentence off by pressing his lips roughly against mine. My knees buckled, but not in a good way. I didn't want this. Actually, I didn't know what I wanted. I shoved him away, tears rolling down my face.

And just like Robin showed me, I punched him in the face.
