Capter 12 Love is Weekness

Recap: Jordan and Lacy went to Vermont to meet the parents and it's not going too well.

         “so lace you haven’t told us, What happened to your face? why is it all stitched up?” Eric says. the second he said that I froze I couldn't think of what to say.

         so Jordan spoke for me. “she... uh got captured and abused. but I managed to save as fast as i could!” I closed my eyes not wanting to see their reaction. 

         “you got WHAT?!” Eric said angrily jumping up from his chair. “how could you let this happen?!”  he oddly was more angry at Jordan then me. Jordan and i both stood up and i went to grab his right hand wile staying on his left in a protective sort of form. 

“Eric, it wasn't his fault. He didn't know i was taken until the next morning.” I explain.

“How could you let someone attack my baby sister?” Eric asked Jordan.

“Didn't you already ask that?” Lizzy asked.

Eric thought for a moment then nodded. Jordan finally spoke up.

“Look Eric, that was a one time thing. I would never let anything happen to Lacy, I love her.” 

Eric was kinda stunned by the last sentence but that seemed to calm him down.

“You promise that was a one timer, you’ll never let it happen again?” Eric asked.

Jordan nodded, “I cross my heart, my heart that belongs to Lacy.”

“Awwwwwww!” Lizzy said, her hands on her cheeks.

Jordan and i chuckled. 

“Ok, good.” Eric said.

“Alright! Now that this is settled, lets do stuff!” Lizzy said.

We all agreed and settled down on the couch. Eric flipped on the TV and guess what was on,

“You’ll shoot your eye out kid.” 

“A Christmas Story!” Eric, Lizzy, and I cheer.

Jordan chuckled, “I have a feeling you guys like this movie.” 

“How’d ya know?” Lizzy asked sarcastically.

Jordan laughed. “I actually have never seen this movie.”

We all gasp, well, Lizzy and i more than Eric.

“How can you live?!” Lizzy exclaimed.

Jordan shrugged and chuckled some more.

“Well, now you get to watch it. This is more towards the middle i guess so we’ll just have to wait till it starts again.”

“Again? You mean it plays more than once?” Jordan asked.

I nodded, “They do a 24 hour marathon.”

“Oh, wow.” Jordan said.

As we all watch the marathon, i couldn't help but think how my parents are going to react to my scar and how i got them. How will they react when they find out about Jordan and how this happened right under his nose? Oh god, Im in a little bit of trouble here.

As the ending played, we heard the front door open and i assume two pairs of foot steps walk in.

“Kids,” my mom’s voice called.

“We’re back from ‘grocery shopping’.” my dad’s voice said.

I let Eric and Lizzy go ahead of me into the kitchen. Truthfully, I was really afraid, I was glad to see my parents again but I'm not ready for them to find out about what happened to me. 

        I grip Jordan's arm hoping that I wouldn't have to leave his side ever again.

         "Lacy-pop! You’re home!" Mom exclaims. She and dad put down their 'groceries' and engulf Jordan and me into a bear hug. We both hug back but I still keep a firm grip on Jordan's left arm. So we were only able to do half hugs. They finally release us and we head back in to the living room. Dad sat next to me with Jordan on the other side of me. (Not that he had a choice because of my grip I had on him.) mom and Eric sat in the other couch while Lizzy sat in the center of the room on the ground. 

        "So lace who is your friend?" Dad said holding out 'friend' like Lizzy did. 

        "This is Jordan Maron." I say. I see Eric about to speak up to tell mom that he was my boyfriend but I beat him to it. "my boyfriend." I look at dad and he looks like he's about to kill me. I looked to mom and she didn't look half as mad as dad did. I also saw she was worried. I assumed that it was because of my scar on my cheek. I chose to ignore it for now. 

        It was silent for a while then mom spoke up "oh well that is a surprise, it's.. Uh, it's nice to meet you Jordan." 

        "It's nice to meet you too, Mrs. King." Jordan says politely. 

        "Oh please call me Paula." Mom said. More silence. You know dads mad when he is not talking. 

        "What are you thinking, dad?" Lizzy says. Looking concerned. 

       "Lace what is with the cut on your cheek is he hurting you?" Dad said angrily, turning to me. I clung to Jordan as tight as I could. And started telling the story. When I finished I closed my eyes agin not wanting to look at anyone. I peek to look at Jordan and even he was shocked. I don't know why but he was. I really wish someone would say something I hate this silence.

"Well obviously she's not ready to be on her own. She is safer here at home." Dads says first.

Filled with rage I said "Dad no! That would mean I'd have to leave Jordan!"

"That's the whole point! If you never met him you wouldn't have gotten captured!" Dad replies

"Dad, this is Kevin we're talking about he would have found me where ever I was. He would probably find me faster if I was here."

"Yeah he may be able to find you but we would have been able to protect you." Dad says, trying to calm down, but he got me angrier.

"Were you even listening? Jordan was sleeping in the same room as me and he couldn't help me from getting captured. And believe me Jordan is a very light sleeper. I can barely roll over with out him waking up. How were you supposed to have protected me better than Jordan?"

"If I may," Jordan starts moving a little away from me so I let go of him. "I'm sorry but I love your daughter sir, and I would jump over the moon too keep her safe! I would NEVER leave her stranded or hurt her! She is my whole world now. Before i met her I was considering not living because I thought no decent girl would ever like me. So she, in a sense, has saved my life."

"We saved each other!" I say placing my hands on Jordan's

Agin I'm sooo sorry that I haven't posted in the longest time! I hope you liked the recap thing I did. I'll probably do that any time I haven't posted in a long time. Well I wanted to say more but I don't know low to phrase it. well any way guess what I hit 500 reads!!!!!! well I don't want to annoy you with it so
