~Alex pov~I gave the driver 20 dollars and slipped out of my car seat. I shut the cab door as he drove off. I turned around to see the massive New York Kings College campus laid out in front of me. I took a deep breath and the smell of fresh cut grass filled my lungs. I walked down the long cement path trying to find my way. I eventually gave up and studied the campus map carefully as I walked, hoping to make some progress finding my dorm. Suddenly I felt something slam into me like a truck, causing me to drop all my books. I rubbed the back of my neck as I picked them up. I looked up to see in fact I was not hit by a truck but rather a small girl with tan skin, dark hair that rested in curls on her shoulders and a yellow skirt. The girl apologized profusely as she helped me pick up the rest of my books.
"I am so sorry!" she said as she handed me a book. "Man, what do you need all these for?"
"Oh," I blushed only then realizing how many books I had with me. "Well, I'm majoring in law...and literature," I told her.
"Cool! I'm Peggy Schuyler by the way!" She said as she extended her arm. I shook it.
"Alexander Hamilton, but you can call me Alex," we had an awkward moment of silence. "Do you mind showing me to my dorm? I'm new," I asked hesitantly.
"Not at all!" She said as she took my paper from my hands, "You're in room...776!" She exclaimed, "That's my friends dorm!" I nodded, "You're gonna like him!"Peggy and I chatted until we came across a big brick building. She mentioned she had two older sisters, Angelica and Elizabeth. She tried to ask me about my family but I only pushed away the question and changed the subject. She looked concerned for a second then went back to talking about herself. She also mentioned that she was 18, a freshman and majoring in Physiology. We walked a little more in the bland colorless walls of the building and finally arrive to room 776. She opened the door and screamed, "I found your new roommate!" She ran inside as I shyly walked in. I saw a man sitting comfortably on the couch eating a bowl of cereal. I almost tripped over my suitcase when I saw him. He had long beautiful, curly, caramel brown hair he kept in a tight ponytail, sparkling hazel eyes, with tan skin covered in constellation like freckles. He wasn't wearing anything too special, but that just made it even easier to get distracted by his face. I had to close my jaw so he wouldn't think I was too weird. Though when he looked up I was still blushing. He got up and smiled a brilliant smile. "John Laurence." He said in a soothing, sweet voice as he extended his hand. "I'm.. uhh" I stumbled over my Wordsworth and I shook his hand, "A-Alexander h-h-Hamilton, but you can call me.. Alex.."

I heard voices come from the hallway and then my best friend Peggy burst through the door yelling, "I found your new roommate!"
I nearly spat milk from my cereal when I saw him enter. He looked sheepish and tired but I could barely notice over his long black hair slicked back into a ponytail, intelligent yet pained eyes, and adorable nose. He was small in frame but that just made him more adorable. I got up and introduced myself. I shook his hand as he stuttered out his name, "A-Alexander h-h-Hamilton." I couldn't help but smile at his nervous nature. I blushed as I thought about pushing the small strand of hair that had come loose from his pony tail behind his ear. I picked up Alexander's suitcase and set it on his bed.
"Here," I flashed him a smile and he returned an even bigger one. God he's adorable! I thought to myself. "You want any coffee?" I asked.
"Uh, y-yeah thanks," he was still stuttering, "Uh black please."
"Black?!" I repeated in shock, "No sugar or cream?"
"N-no thank you, just plain black coffee," he looked up at me then turned back to his bed and started unpacking.
"So Alexander, tell me a little about yourself."
"Well, I'm seventeen," he said shyly.
"Where're you from?" I asked.
"Unimportant, there's a million things I haven't done!" He said a wide smile spreading across his face. "Where're you from?" He asked.
"South Carolina," I responded.
"Oh cool," he stood next to the couch uncomfortably.
"You can sit, it won't bite!" I encouraged him. He nodded nervously and his face turned red. I came up and sat next to him. I handed him is coffee and he drank it as we talked.Thank you so much if you're reading this! Me and my friend BB are both really into Hamilton and we both ship Lams with a passion so we thought it fitting to write a fanfiction together! No chapter is written solely by either one of us. It's a collaborative effort. We will try to update as often as we can but we're both in school so it won't be consistent. We may have time tough because we are very guilty of staying up until 3:00 in the morning writing...Also if there is any fan art here I probably drew it because BB can't draw (no offense.)
