There's something wrong with the world. You'd have to be blind to miss it. There is something missing and you can feel it deep down inside of you. Something's not right. It eats at you, and you know it does. Something deep down inside you is unhappy. You don't feel one hundred percent right. When things go wrong and your world turns upside down, you begin to feel this sadness in your core. There is a hole in your essence that swallows the happiness you bring into your life. All the material pleasures of this world cannot fill this gap in your essence. To voice out this problem within yourself is seen as a weakness. Mental problems are seen as weak. You cannot see the cut or feel the blood rushing out, but you can feel the hurt and the pain. The alcohol and drugs let you escape for a while, but it all comes back with a fury. You are never fully in the moment. You surround yourself with peers and comrades, however isolation is your only real friend. Darkness surrounds your entire being, and suck the life out of you. Those things you once loved are unimportant and distant. Love and happiness are a dwindling hope on a distant horizon, but the storm rushes on. No matter what you do, you cannot escape it, and all the people around you look so happy. A jealousy and hatred arises for those you once loved and you distance yourself from their company. Where is the Gods of love, promised in ancient texts? Where is the Jesus Christ super hero who will save you from yourself? Who will offer a shield when you can no longer hold your own? The hole in your being is from a belief system you buy into. It is a feeling of unworthiness. This feeling of unworthiness is not your own. Society has pushed it upon you.

The seed of unworthiness is planted at a young age. To innocent children who are unable to question ideologies. It starts in school, where children unknowingly exchange their creativity and imagination for textbooks and conformity. Their sense of self identity is completely abolished as they stand uniformed beside their peers. This modern education system is an institution that is never questioned. We spend thirteen years of our childhood in preparation for life, yet we come out of school with no real life skills, such as knowing how to drive a car, cook a healthy meal or grow a garden. We leave school with no leadership skills or experience of team work.

We do learn how to read and write, and the basic maths but we are not taught how to think for ourselves. We leave school with no understanding of logic or the skills needed to question an ideology. We are taught how to sit down and listen obediently and accept what we hear as truth without thinking of questioning. We are taught what to think with no focus on your opinions or inputs. You are put under constant pressure to revise what those in authority demand and regurgitate it on the day of the exam. If you do not pass this memory test, your life in this society is over and you are seen as a failure. This pressure that is put on teenagers coincides with the pressure to decide on what sort of lifestyle they will have. These teenagers have not got the skills or the time to focus on self development and their hobbies and interests are now seen as secondary in their lifestyle and unimportant in their pursuit for a career.

Thirteen years is most of your childhood, stolen by society by force with useless results is unacceptable. The system is created to prepare children for a life time of obedient employment. The perfect workforce is moulded in school, people smart enough to do the errands required by the employer but not educated enough to question the authority those running the system has over you. The feeling of unworthiness grows, as you preform these meaningless tasks day in and day out.

For kids who do not know themselves to be forced to make these important life deciding decisions at such an early stage in life is unjust. The pressures of society mounts on them and it seems impossible to succeed and their hopes and dreams fade away. The creative side is put aside in order to pursue a career, and they distance themselves from their true self. A True Self lost from them as they comply to society. Their thoughts and opinions are stolen from them and considered useless. How are kids meant to feel if they are unable to think for themselves? The feeling of isolation stems from here.
