~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Romano was twirling the pen in his hand as he stared at the paper work he was trying to fill out.
Him and Italy were sitting in the room with you while you were sleeping again, but they migrated out into the hall eventually.
The pages seemed to never run out, and his signature for the release seemed to repeat over and over.
"Fratello, think you can handle some of these?" Romano said, sounding like he was tired already,"there is too much for me.."
"Oh- ok!" Italy gave him a warm smile and took some papers. Romano handed him his pen he was using and leaned back to take a short break.
When Italy took the pen, he began to finish up the papers.
Romano reached his hands up and rubbed his eyes, releasing a heavy sigh in the process. Even when he isn't thinking of you, it seems to always find a way in.
"Think she'll ever be normal?" Romano mumbled as he put his arms down.
"Whats that?" Italy piped up; his tongue slightly poking past his lips as he doodled.
"You know..if she will remember us?"
"Yes. I think so; she cant forget her favorite twin!" Italy gestured to himself as he turned his gaze to Romano.
"That's right, me.." Romano said rolling his eyes.
Hearing Romano say that made him chuckle as his brown eyes trailed back to the papers," just have faith Roma. Everything will straighten out eventually."
~~~~~~
It took them a good chunk of time to finish the papers, not having done this before, and hand them back to the nurse at the front desk.
The nurse had told them both to wait for their doctor to return so the discussion of further treatment could be settled if need be.
After that they had made there way back to your door,"think she may be awake?" Italy asked standing next to his brother.
All he did was shrug. There was nothing much said after that, so Romano reached up and gripped the handle of the door; pushing it open slowly, the door softly tapped the wall.
It was dead silent. Nothing was going off or people weren't talking anymore from behind them.
Italy's lips parted as he sucked in the cool air from the open window you had opened.
It took Romano a second to piece together, that you had left.
A stray tear left his eye without him realizing it as he approached the window to peer down to ground level.
Just random people entered and exited the hospital. Cars coming and going from the parking lot and roads.
The thought of you running around in a hospital gown through the streets alone. What if you got hit again...or worse," oh god, we gotta go find her."
Romano grabbed his bro and swiftly walked down them long ass halls and stairs to the outside world.
He had no clue where to look first, but it didn't stop him from starting.
~~~~
Italy was worried not just for you anymore, but for his brother as well.
He of course helped him look all over for you, but he kept a close eye of Romano.
