I wasn't supposed to be here.

I was framed.

Stuck in the cell of Arkham.

How pathetic.

My body rocked itself in the corner of the cell. The hallways were silent, not including the screaming from the other inmates.
But that was still considered silence to me.
All I could hear was me and my thoughts.
Thoughts begging to be told.
Begging to be put into action.
But I couldn't.

I wouldn't say I was crazy, but I also wouldn't say I was sane.
Then again...if you knew my origin then you wouldn't trust me either.

I stood up, my bare feet touching the cold ice floor. I grabbed the steel bars, looking out into the hallway. My palms holding the cold rusty bars. The floors so oddly clean that I could see my reflection.

"Strange." I said calmly.
No response.
"Strange." I said again, a little bit louder but not yet yelling.
Still no response.
"Strange!" I yelled out.

I heard footsteps start to approach. Grinning ear to ear, I waited for Strange.

"Yes?" He asked calmly. I smirked at him. He thought he could make me sane. He was such a joke.
Nevertheless, he was my only hope of getting out.

"I want to get out of here." I whined, pouting at him.
I was too young to be here.
I was only 12.

"Well I'm afraid I can't do that Miss Y/N. You see...even if you are sane...well there's nowhere for you to go." He shrugged.
I grasped the bars harder in anger.

"That's not fair!" I shouted at him. He raised his hand up, silencing me.

"However, there is a man interested in adopting you." He smiled. I looked at him with a confused look.
Who in the right mind would want to adopt me?

"Is that so? Who's the lucky fellow?" I asked him. He raised his eyebrow at me.

"Now you're interested?" He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes at him. He was starting to annoy me. "His name is Bruce Wayne."

I froze where I was.

"Br-Bruce W-Wayne?" I stuttered out. Bruce Wayne was a billionaire.
Billionaire!
"Why would he want to adopt me?"

"Popularity maybe." Strange shrugged. I looked back out into the hallway. This place was pathetic. Lights dim, cells as rusty and old as the beginning of time, and the same old lunatics yelling their heads off.
I needed to get out of here.

"How do I get adopted?" I commanded Strange to tell me.
He clicked his tongue and waved his finger in front of me.

"The decision is up to him. You will know by tomorrow morning. Now Y/N...I suggest you get some sleep..." His voice trailing off as he walked away.

I sighed, making my way back to my cold hard bed.
My body laid on the still bed, turning to find some comfortable position.
I sighed giving up.

So my freedom...depends on his decision...just great....
