Chills ran down her spine,
and she made a noise like that of a whine.
Like a puppy that was lost and hurt,
in the dark shadows she lurked.
She thought of it again,
but it brought her nothing but pain.
She pondered about it for long,
if she'd been wrong,
for the people that she now sees,
are different from what she expected them to be.
Jaws tighten as she went down her memory lane,
reliving the joyous memories of her childhood.
Things had been simpler then,
but now it just was not.
Why do people pretend to be someone they're not?
Is it because they want to fit in the sort?
Why choose pretense,
when you can just be who you are?
It isn't fair,
so just do your share,
to turn her expectations into reality.
And spread love, for its contagious,
and it will come back to you and shall never pause.
