Grandmother

Dear Grandma,

How have you been?
Are you doing morning exercises with your friends?

Or are you watching Chinese dramas without my company?

Remember the days when you were here?

We watched action chinese dramas together?

Where are you?

What are you doing?

Have you made any friends?

Do you miss us?

When will you visit us again?

These questions always play on my mind but I know they will never be answered until I see you again.

I never knew you would leave us so fast. I expected you to still be with us for another few years at least.

I wish there's angels over at where you are now, taking care over you as I can't make sure whether you have taken your meals, gotten enough sleep, having enough fun.

Remember those days when you were here celebrating Christmas, Chinese New Year and Birthdays together with us? I will never forget how happy you seemed to be. I still remember how sad you were when we were going to leave Kuching and go back to work | study.

I'm sorry for disobeying what you say sometimes, although I know you're trying to care for me. I'm just a stubborn little child who didn't learn to appreciate last time. I'm sorry for not giving you calls often although I promised to give you at least a call a week. Now that I want to make you calls, whom do I call? And what numbers should I dial?

I'm sorry for using electric gadgets instead of chatting to you when you still had a good health. I'm sorry for not being hardworking enough and score the highest scores in class. I'm sorry for disappointing you with not winning the competitions. I'm also sorry for making you worry and bringing you troubles. I know I'm not the best granddaughter, nor the grandchild you loved the most. However, I'm sure that you are proud of me for everything I succeed, forever cheering me up when I'm down, and encouraging me to try harder again the next time.

Lastly grandma, you were my biggest inspiration, and you will forever be the one and only grandma I miss. Grandma, we love you. Thanks for bringing happiness into our lives. You might think that you aren't important in our lives but you are. You are the mother to my father, uncles and aunties , the grandma to  cousins and I.
