The small eleven year old raced down the streets of diagon alley smiling happily. The young girls mother and father had let her go to get her school supplies by herself since they had made many trips to diagon alley before and she knew where she was going to Hogwarts. Her family were one of the few pureblood families that weren't obsessed with blood purity like the Malfoys or the Nott's. Nora Blackwood had brown hair like her father Johnathan Blackwood and green eyes just like her mother Marcella Blackwood. As Nora ran down the street she spotted Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix black, Marcius Nott and Rudolph lestrange huddled a round someone laughing and pushing them. Nora huffed and darted towards them.
"What in the bloody hell do you think your doing". Nora hissed "and you call your self high status purebloods" she scoffed glaring at the group. They all seemed quite surprised that she had talked to them that way then Bellatrix black stepped up to her snarling nastily.
"No one asked you blood traitor". she seethed at Nora but that didn't faze her one bit.
"If you know what's best for you black you'll back off the boy". Nora warned
"Oh and what are you going to do about it blackwood". Bellatrix grinned with her crooked teeth
"Ok you asked for it". Nora lifted her fist so fast Bellatrix didn't even have time to react before her fist collided with her face with a horrid crunch. The girl fell to her butt holding her nose that was now bleeding. Bellatrix looked at her with wide eyes and right along with the others she scrambled up and ran shooting cures word at Nora.
Nora grinned at there disappearing figures then she turned to the boy. He has shaggy brown hair brown chocolate eyes and a huge scar running from one side of his face from the other. She grinned at him
"Sorry about them there a nasty bunch My names Nora Blackwood its a pleasure to meet you". she said and she reached out her hand to shake his. The boy gave her a shy smile and took her had.
"Hello My names Remus lupin thank you for helping me I didn't think they were ever going to stop". he admitted looking at the ground with a small blush on his cheeks.
"Well its a good thing I got here when I did". she grinned "so, are you a first year to? Nora asked excitedly looking at him with a big smile.
"Oh yes I am". He admitted sheepishly looking up from his shoes to grin brightly at her.
"So where are your parents?" Nora quested " And are you a half-blood or muggleborn because that would explain them picking on you".
"Not that it matters to me" she added quickly as she noticed his face fall when she mentioned blood status. His smile quickly returned to his face
"I'm a half-blood and guessing of how she knew your name you must be a pureblood"? he questioned meekly
"Yeah mum and dad both came from pureblood family's but we don't talk to them because they are horrid to muggleborns and half bloods but we don't think it matters what your blood status is". Nora responded proudly to him.
"Well its good to know that not everyone hates us half-bloods". she giggled but not before hearing her mother call her name and motioned her to come to over to her. Nora gave him a big smile and crushed him in a hug that he did not expect at all and looked at him.
"I have to go now but I'll see you on September 1st and try to stay out of trouble". she gave him one last smile and then she ran back to her mother.
Remus stood there looking after her completely amazed at the slightly weird but amazing girl who had punched a bully for someone she didn't even know and from that day forward
Remus John Lupin was simply infatuated with Nora Marcella Blackwood.
