Sometimes being smart isn't enough. Sometimes being funny, pretty, strong, or gifted isn't enough. Sometimes being yourself isn't ever enough. We all say these things, but who said we had to be 'enough'. No one ever told us to live to be 'enough'. No one ever said that our only hope is to be enough. We tell ourselves that, and that will never change. The color of your skin may tell where you come from, but it doesn't say where you'll go. The environment that you grew up in may give people an example of who you are, but it doesn't tell others who you will become. The parents that raised you may give people a template of what you are, but it doesn't justify what you will be. So, why don't we just drop it.
We all give ourselves excuses for what we can't do, but we don't give others a reason to know what we can do. We always give ourselves excuses to doubt ourselves, but never a reason boast confidence. Sometimes being yourself isn't easy, but no one should ever think making others understand was going to be easier. Sometimes in life, a synopsis isn't enough, we have to give you the whole story
