Hi everyone this is my first story I've ever written and is a continuation/epilogue of "Flipped" By Wendelin Van Draanen. Please tell me what you think, and if there is any editting needed! I hope you enjoy!

Julie Baker's POV:

After Bryce and I finished planting the sycamore tree, I invited him in for some lemonade.

As we started to drink, he continued to smile at me from behind his glass.

I started to feel kind of uncomfortable so I asked him, "who gave you the idea to build the sycamore tree. Was it Chet?"

"Well to be completely honest, yes it was Chet. But I was the one who bought the tree and went to the library to read a book about how to plant a tree." He began to look nervous and started fidgeting with his hands, hoping that I would still accept his apology even if it wasn't his idea.

"Haha, I guess it's the thought that counts."

He grinned, and we stood there for a little just looking at each other when he blurted out,

"Julie, I'm really sorry, I don't know what got into me. I know it was wrong of me to try and kiss you, and then completely ruin your date with Eddie, but I think I've completely fallen for you."

Bryce actually sorry? I didn't know what to believe last week he was making fun of my uncle in the library, and now he's here telling me he's fallen for me. The old Julie Baker would've died to be in this situation and would've totally been all over him, but surprisingly when he said that, it didn't really have any effect on me. No sparks or anything.

"Bryce, I know you're sorry about what you did. But I just don't know if I have the same feelings about you. You were once the first think I thought about in the morning and the last thing I thought about at night. But now, you're just a regular person to me."

"Please give me another chance, I promise I won't screw it up this time."

Why doesn't he understand that I don't like him like that anymore.

"Friends, let's start with being friends. Is that okay?"

"Okay, but Julie I'm just letting you know I'm never going to stop fighting for you."

I didn't know what to say to that... when all of a sudden in another room my mom says, "Julie, can you set the table for me?"

"Yes mom."

"Sorry Bryce, duty calls. I guess I'll see you around school?"

"Okay."

As Bryce walked away I couldn't help thinking that these next few years were going to be crazy.
