Hi Wattpadders! I'm sorry for it being such a long time since I last updated. I really hope you guys enjoy this chapter. Also this hasn't been edited, so please point out the mistakes!

Julie's POV

At school the next day, I can't help but feel as if someone is staring at me. When I turn my head I see Bryce smirking at me. I quickly turn away. I just want to slap the smirk right off of his face.

"You need to stop staring, it's kind of creepy." I whispered.

He instantly looks away. Sorry "You just look so beautiful today."

"Well knock it off!" I accidentally yell across the room.

As the class giggles at this, I can see the irritation in Mrs.Brown's face. I then swallow while looking nervously at her.

"Julie! Would you like to teach this lecture instead?" says Mrs. Brown.

"No thank you Ma'am. I can never teach English as well as you."

"Please stay after class Ms. Baker and you may join us too, Mr. Loski."

I glare straight at Bryce, hoping he feels the anger radiating off of me, he just decides to shrug and mouths "Oh well."

When the lunch bell sounds, I wait for everyone to file out before approaching Mrs. Brown, Bryce follows uncomfortably behind.

"Sorry about the talking Mrs.Brown I promise it won't happen again." I say, trying to sound as innocent as I can.

"I know it won't, because you two will be spending Monday after school helping me clean my room spotless for open house next Thursday."

"But I wasn't even talking! I was trying to tell Bryce to-"

"Do you want to make it Tuesday too young lady?"

"No, but-"

"Then it's settle I'll see you both Monday, have a great weekend."

I storm out of the room and almost bump straight into my best friend Jen (short for Jenevieve) when I turn a curve.

"Woah, there missy don't worry there's enough pizza in the cafeteria for everyone." She smiles jokingly.

"I'm not in the mood Jen."

"Sorry."

As we go and sit at our usual table, I see Bryce and his friend Dave making there way over to us.

"Oh god, brace yourself Jen."

"Why?"

"Because -"

"Hey Ladies! May we sit with you guys?" asks Bryce.

"There's an empty table over there that you can-"

"You sure can!" says Jen enthusiastically.

I give the death glare to Jen which she completely tries to avoid by looking somewhere else.

"Did any of you by chance see the Wheel of Fortune game last night?" says Dave quietly.

Jen just about squeals, "No way, you watch that too?I can't believe the girl from Seattle couldn't guess the word!"

And like that Dave sits across from Jen and the two begin to whisper back and forth as if they were long lost friends.

Of course as fate would have it, I was stuck with Bryce the one person I've been trying to avoid.

"So Julie, I guess your yard is finally finished with the new tree and all." Bryce remarks confidently.

"Hah, you're very funny, it was actually perfect before you planted the tree."
