The degree in architecture at UNAM is coordinated by the Academic College of Architecture, which is made up of the Coordinators of the 16 Architecture Workshops, Project Area Seminars, Technology, Theory, History and Research, Urban-Environmental, Extension University and the Coordination of the Academic College itself.

To train professionals, who with their preparation and social conscience meet the requirements of the society in which we live and transform it to raise their quality of life.

In architecture, knowing English is very important because it gives us many possibilities to grow both professionally and personally.

In recent years the term globalization has been gaining ground. The English language has approximately 508 million speakers, being one of the three most spoken languages ​​of the worlds, apart from Mandarin and Spanish.

It is the official language in 54 countries and several non-sovereign entities. Currently, knowing languages, especially English, is an indispensable requirement for working abroad.

Students can have more opportunities because they can enter in the school exchange program, where, as the name implies, they will take classes in their chosen countries, so they need to know the language of the country at they will travel, since they have to communicate and take advantage of the opportunity provided during the classes.

It gives the opportunity to receive scholarships which support the student and encourage him to aspire to more things in his career. Some of the terms used in architecture are in English.

The knowledge of languages ​​multiplies the job opportunities, and improves the labor situation.

At present, the English language is one of the most widely spoken in the world, and more specifically, in architecture, many of the technical books, programs and (like AutoCad, etc.), and conferences with great eminences in the team, are in English, or the existing translations are also in this language. Considering also that most of the translations are not of good quality or that many of the tools (mentioned above) only come in their native language, without translation.
