Chapter 9

(This really is the first chapter, you're not lost or crazy. Okay, you may be crazy. I don't know you like that.)

A smile came, made its home on my face and it asked for a 30 year mortage. As I watched her walk away from our lunch table, I think it might have been the happiest moment in my life.

"How the Hell did that happen?" Abel asked, killing my happy disposition.

"The stars must be alinged or theres some shift in the cosmic universe!" Howard said with serious face then cracked up in a fit of laughter.

"Was blackmail involed? Mind control?" Axel said shaking the hair out of his face.

I scowled, "Come on!" Really mind control?

"Seriously Binder, what did you do? I mean you're just...you. And she's, Jasmine Fuller," Tory so helpfully pointed out.

"I love how you all doubt me,"I said and Tory started shifting her hands in the air like she was weighting the difference between me and Jasmine.

"Because it's so unnatural," Howard said coming back with his science talk, "How do you expect us to be?"

            "Just tell us what happened!"

"Is that the tone of jealousy?" she answered me with a french fry to the face. I guess I was wrong. "Well, it all happened the day before last Wednesday (Oh snap! The title!) and..." I started.

"Tuesday?" Axel asked. He was clearly impressed by my skills to make the mundane more interesting than it was. "Three days ago, Tuesday?" but the look he was giving me was contraditing that idea.

"Ah, yeah. Stop interupting..." So what if today was only Friday and it only happened on Tuesday. That doesn't change what happened!

"Jon, you're an idiot. How many times do you watch The Day After Tomorrow?" It got harder to tell Axel and Abel apart when they were annoyed. Good they didn't wear matching clothes like the did in elementary school.

"First off, rude," I pointed my finger at Abel. But his glare back made me answer his question. They really had a problem with treating me like a child."Fifteen times...this week."

"I don't know why you like that movie. It's ilogical. Nothing like that could ever happen," Howard said.

"It's a science movie! It could happen!"

             "Science fiction!"

"So?" I leaned back in my chair and folded my arms. I was ready for a full out battle if he wanted it.

"Guys, we're getting off topic," Tory said. She always was the level headed one.

"Alright, I'll spin ye all a tale, an epic tale (Oh Snap! The Subtitle!) of this past Tuesday!"

"Oh my God, this idoit!," it was Axel calling me names this time around.
