Autumn sighed, shaking her head as she walked down the hall, pulling lightly on her sleeves. "Why are they making us where dresses?" She asked Juliet, who was happily walking next to her in a white dress. "I don't know Auty!" The half Irish half German girl giggled, her sandy blonde hair tied into a braid. Autumn shook her head, walking down the hall with a grumble as they walked toward the office where they'd meet their foster parents.
Autumn and Juliet's new parents were rather nice people, the woman being a kind soul who worked as a veterinarian assistant, going by the name Khloe June. The man being slightly rough around the edges but rather kind, working in engineering going by the name Jake. They were a slightly young couple, and pretty average. Autumn scoffed, if anything unimpressed with her new home. It wasn't going to be like her old home and her true family.
Sure, her father was a drunk and her mother was eight feet under the ground, by what she'd known anyway. She would soon find out something awful had happened to the living remainder of her family.
Boredly, Autumn walked down the sidewalk, looking around the area slightly skittishly in remembering she was going toward the bad side of town. Gripping tightly onto her wallet she gulped, walking a bit faster. "Come on lass... Yer almost at the store," She mumbled, reassuring herself she'd be there soon and out soon.
Why was she going to the store? Well she heard of a new game for a console she had, which in her luck she had enough money saved up to go and buy the Legend of Zelda game. She smiled thinly to herself, looking around slightly cautiously.
He sighed, being awaken from his sleep, shaking his head, he got up and remembered last night, he quickly cleaned him self up, his father came in, smacking him to the floor,
'Ben. you little fucker. didnt i tell you never to cry? your weak. always will be.'
he pushed him into the wall, then walked out, Ben picked himself up, hearing the door down stairs close, Ben slowly got dressed, then walked down stairs, his body inpain from all the wounds on him, he walked to the kitchen, only to get his jacket, seeing some food on the table his father left reminded him he hasn't eaten in about two weeks, he got his jacket and shoes and went out, locking the door behind him he made his way to the only place he can be safe,
he walked slowly, his body not wanting to keep moving, but he forced him self to keep moving, a pain ran up his back, he turned to see rocks being thrown at him. he ran to the door of the DK Oldies, running in side, he sat down, blinking back tears as he got up and looked around.
Autumn looked around the store for the game, furrowing her eyebrows. "Where is the damn game?" She mumbled, green eyes scanning the store closely. Taking her hood off her head she sighed, blowing her bangs out of her face while beginning to walk. Scowling slightly in frustration she continued her desperate search for the game.
Not noticing, she backed up into someone, causing her to turn her head eyes widened slightly in surprise. She'd thought she'd be the only one here but she'd thought wrong. "Oh S-Sorry lad," She said, before glancing up spotting the game she was looking for on a shelf. A sudden grin formed on her face and she rushed over.
Grabbing the game she held it a bit tightly, raising her hands in victory with a laugh. "Finally! I found it!" She chuckled, green eyes shining as she jumped a little, game still held tightly in her grip.
Ben slowly walked to his favorite spot in the store, looking at all the new games he didn't notice the girl behind him, looking at all the games, backing up slowly, he backed up into someone, he feel forwards, his body not able to stop the fall, being weak from not eating, he hit the floor hard, a screaming passing his lips, a loud snap going around the store, his body shaking, slowly turning pale. his eyes slowly shut, a small sound of pain past his lips, as he slips into darkness.
Autumn turned her head to the boy and paled a little, her eyes widened instantly she rushed over to him, helping him up. "Lad, Lad?" She asked, frowning before glancing to the guy at the check out area. "Help!" She yelped at him, the man instantly grabbed the phone dialing in nine-one-one. Autumn frowned, looking at the boy with concern.
