Simply an Idea
I will work on this some time in the future, but for now, this is what I will tell about the story.
The story is set in the middle ages/medieval period when people believed in witches and sorcerers being among them. In this story, they were right.
This tells of a sorcerer who finds struggle living among the normal society. People have seen him use his magic, and when a mother of three is murdered in such an evil manner, this sorcerer is blamed and is chosen to be burned and hanged without evidence or proof; simply because he is called a sorcerer by few.
However he then escapes his death in an intense interruption caused by barbaric thugs who suddenly attack the village; causing commotion. This sorcerer gets away, and finds his new way, to the city of Casterwall. With it's existence kept surprisingly secret, Casterwall is a city lived in and governed by sorcerers; witches and wizards. This society, however, despises those without magical abilities, because of how they treated them. And hangs those who enter without proving they have abilities.
It was believed that all people of magical abilities were born in Casterwall, and those who lived among the ordinary were defecting for reasons of their own.
Our protagonist will discover things about Casterwall; he knows he will never be accepted in ordinary society, but he is forced to make a decision once he discovers the dark secrets lingering within the walled city.
