The Unforgotten.

The Day

The next morning, March 5th, 2016, about 7 am and Nicole and I had just woken up from getting like 6 hours of sleep maybe. She was getting ready to go, because she had to go help her dad. I was sitting and waiting for Nicole's dad to get there then suddenly I got a text from Luke. Him and I started having a conversation. Which was weird, because he hated me. I didn't think much of it though except for that he might have had a change of heart.
  Then Luke decided to call me, so him and I talked on that for a while. Which Nicole didn't approve really, because she still liked him. Nicole's dad finally showed up, so she had to leave. I hugged her good bye then went back to talking to Luke. Then he called me on FaceTime, so we talked on that for a while. Him and I talked for a long while actually. We talked about what our plans were for the day and that kind of stuff. His plans were to hang out with friends, go to the mall, and oddly to talk to me. My plans were to hang out with family and I had plans to go eat breakfast and go to lunch with my mom for that day. Also to go shopping with my mom and her boyfriend. Which I didn't really care for at the time. (And still don't care for)
  It got to the time where I had to go to breakfast with my mom, so I had to put on my headphones in order to talk to him still. My mom and I chose to walk to the bakery near our house to get breakfast. Which I decided that I was going to walk ahead and because of that  Luke and I got stayed on the call and talked until I got to the bakery.
  As soon as we got to the bakery. I had to hang up the call with Luke. Which I didn't really want to do, because I really liked talking to him. It was weird. I never thought I would feel this way about him. I didn't like it, so I pushed it away.
While I was at the bakery. I had to turn my phone on silent. Although I forgot to tell Luke that I had to do that. After I got done eating I went back onto my phone to see missed calls and unread messages from him. It made me really happy to see his name on my phone screen. I couldn't figure out why. It was such a weird feeling.
As soon as I texted him. I got a reply back right away. It was a really nice feeling. I explained to him why I didn't message him back for that short amount of time. He apologized for all the messages and missed calls. Which I instantly told him that it was fine.
Still waiting for my mom's boyfriend to come pick up my mom and I from the bakery. Him and I kept talking as my mom and I wanted and waited.
Finally we got picked up and I sat in the back seat the whole time texting him. He called me and we talked on FaceTime on and off for a while. While I was in the car with my family. As my mom and her boyfriend went into the store. I decided to stick behind, so that I could talk to Luke.
Him and I talked for almost the whole day. We were either on FaceTime or messaging each other. It was interesting, fun, and a day that I would never be able never to forget. Every minute I talk to him I felt closer and close to him. It's like I was meeting a new person, but in reality I was meeting a new him, a different him, the real him. He acted nice to me whether he was with his friends or alone.
While he was at the mall with some of his friends. Decided to take his phone and message me, Joe and his other friend Sam. They messaged me telling me that they thought that Luke liked me. Which gave me, which gave me butterflies in my stomach and they also asked me if I liked him. Which at the time I still hadn't figured that out for myself. They also told me that he had been talking about me and they really think that he liked me.
After a few more hours of talking to him the day was finally ending, but it started to get more special every minute. From about 10 pm to 3 am Luke and I sat on FaceTime. We talked about what we loved to do and what we were interested in. I felt a different click with him. Than I'd never felt with someone else. Like I had known him forever. It was so special.
Sam was spending the night at Luke's house that night. Which is was kind of funny to see them bickering about how Sam was hanging out with Luke's little brother, Gage. Luke decided that he was going to go into his closet to sleep, because Sam and Gage were annoying him. So Luke and I talked for a bit longer. Then him and I both started to get tired. So he put his phone right next to him. So that he was able to see me. I set my phone up to were I would be able to see him too. I felt safer than I had ever felt. Even with him not actually being right next to me.
After Luke had fallen asleep on FaceTime. Sam decided that he was going to grab Luke's phone and talked to me for a while. He asked me if I liked Luke and what I would say if he asked me out. I still didn't know exactly what I would say to him at this time. I felt him and I had a real connection which was odd. All I told Sam was that I didn't really know and that I was still confused on how I felt about him.
After talking to Sam for a while about Luke and other stuff. He put Luke's phone back were it was and left the closet were Luke was sleeping. After a while of thinking about what I would say I found my answer. Then with the last thought in my mind being Luke. I slowly fell asleep.
