We ate silently, not talking to much and just savoring the food. The same hour after we ate our dinner, we flew to France using our private plane.
I really didn't like the whole idea of traveling into a different country without any notice. His parents might get mad at him and it might also jeopardize his company. Even though I tried to insist that we must stay, I wasn't able to convince. I'm a stubborn person, but he's much stubborn.
We slept in the whole ride and rested a bit in our vacation house that we bought a year later after our honeymoon. Warren saw how much I enjoyed it here and he thought that the house would be a good investment.
He's right, we often travelled here during vacations and even during surprise visits. We like this place so much that maybe we could also grow old here. Just him and me. Our children would stay on where the company is and visit us during vacations with their own sons and daughters with them.
I never noticed that Warren left all of our gadgets back home purposely so that we will have all the time together. I never had any contact with anyone back at home and Warren's company wasn't able to talk to him for a month.
I was worried that he left his company alone for a long period of time without any notice but at the same time, I liked it because I have all of his attention.
We traveled to different parts of France and revisited it's landmarks and tourist spots.
First, we went to Louvre and we admired the paintings and different arts inside and debated about the beauty of the glass pyramid in front.
"I don't get why you think that glass pyramid compliments the Louvre. It totally contradicts the beauty of it," Warren grumbled and I chuckled. He's like a child grumbling at his mother.
He looks sexy when annoyed. His brows were furrowed, both of his hands were tucked inside his pockets and his head is lowered in an angle that highlights his sharp jawline and pointed nose. I can't help it but to fall in love with him even more.
"It gives balance and a hint of modernity to the Louvre and it gives the tourists something to talk or fight about," I said and laughed a bit.
"It just looks out of place like a white ball in the middle of black balls," Warren explained.
"It doesn't look out of place. It's perfect. Without the black balls, the white ball won't be noticeable and without the white ball the black balls won't have meaning." I explained and waited if he would say anything but he remained silent.
"If you were given a chance to remove that pyramid. Will you remove it?" I asked him and looked up at him eagerly waiting for an answer.
"I won't," he paused thinking of how he could explain his answer. "Well, you're right. Ugly or not it is still an art and arts are for the Louvre." Warren answered, staring directly at the pyramid. This time he's not frowning at it, but looking at it dreamily.
Second, we went to the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris and took a lot of pictures. This was the first place we went to during our honeymoon. Warren knows how much I love to read books and the Hunchback of Notre-Dame was inspired by this church.
"Do you remember the first thing you said when I told you the reason why we went here first than the other tourist attractions?" Warren asked, looking at me with a playful smile on his face.
"You mean when you said the reason we first went here is because of the Hunchback of Notre-Dame?" I asked him.
"Yes, and you answered we should have gone first to the Louvre instead because you always wanted to be there." I laughed after he said that. I remember that day so clearly as if it just happened yesterday. Our honeymoon was the most memorable thing that ever happened to us.
