The Beginning

In the darkness, running through the forest. Heavy steps and breath are the only voices that lingering in my ears.

Even though I can't see the end, but as long as he still hold my hand. I know I'll be fine.

Tonight, it's full moon and I know it must be the time. So as soon as we reach the end line, the night view of this beautiful city mesmerized me. The shimmering lights was too beautiful and almost makes me forgot what my intention to lead him here.

"Haneul, you still can turn back if you want." He turn to me, still panting hard.
⠀
His faded blonde hair was shining because of the shining moonlight and his face was glow beautifully. It was breathtaking and I almost drowning in it.

"No, I won't turn back."

"Are you sure? If we continue, then there is no turning back anymore. You know clearly the risk."
⠀
"I guess I just lost, Jimin. Lost in your mind." sighing, I cupped his pale cheeks and caress it softly. "I wanna know, am I losing my mind? Just because I took this risk to be with you, even though I know what you are."

He look at me and cup my cheeks with his hands. I stare back at him and his eyes was filled with worries, guilt, frustration, love, hesitation, anger, hopeless, and.... fear.

"Never let me go, Jimin." and with that he lean in to smash his lips on mine.

The moment I open my eyes, I'm no longer near the forest. I was stood in the tallest building in the city. It was so high, based on how the wind blew hard on my hair.

His grip was still tight on my waist, he took back my attention when he tighten his grip.
⠀
"Jimin..." I gasped as I saw his face turn more pale than before.

"I'm gonna ask you one more time. Are you fully aware of what you asked me to do? Are you fully awake now?"

"Jimin, my mind might be unconscious but I'm wide awake. Let's do it again. I wanna feel it one last time. Do it and take my pain away."

"I don't want something bad happen to you. W-what if you're not the one? What if... what if, this night... be the last?"

"If this night is not forever. At least we are together. I know I'm not alone." flashing a smile at him, I nod. "Just do it, this is the only way, for both of us. Our chance.. depends on this."

"Okay. No matter what. I'll follow you, anywhere." He replied and slowly I notice his eyes turn into lime green.

"Anywhere, whenever. Apart, but still together." I muttered as he took my left wrist. The trace of what he did before still remain.

I still remember the pain.

I still remember how it hurt.

But for him, for us, I will do it again.

Because I know I'm not alone.
